Fun legendary hamburger restaurant right off Red Arrow Highway in New Buffalo. They are known for their burgers but have other options on the menu. The staff is very nice and the flow is fantastic. You can tell they’ve been doing this for a while. There’s plenty of seating for larger groups, a gift shop, bar and one thing to note: they are CASH ONLY.

First time in New Buffalo, I was lucky enough to be here on a Thursday. The local towns folks said this was the best burger spot on this side of Lake Michigan. Ordered the ultimate double Velveeta cheeseburger with a side of crinkle cheese fries. Burger came out extremely cheesy ‍ burger was pretty big (I’m 6’2, my hand for good measure lol) fries were crispy and the burger had a lot of flavor. Huge menu choice for anyone this picky. 10/10 would recommend. If you’re driving through new Buffalo, stop by here.

The Velveeta cheeseburger was very good. The cheese curds were a bit salty. The buffalo cauliflower was excellent. I also liked the cheese that came with the fries because it actually had some flavor. Here’s a few warnings: 1.) they only take cash, but they have an ATM in house, and 2.) the cook the burgers to medium well or well done. None of this bothered me. I also didn’t think the burger was under-seasoned, but perhaps the cheese helped the taste by providing the salt. I really liked the full sliced onion on the burger, which added crunch. It took awhile for the server to first visit the table because the place was busy, but the food came out quickly. I would return so the fam could try the burgers.
EDIT: the individual patties are big, so the double and triples are BIG sandwiches.

I’ve seen ads for Redamak’s since I was a kid, so I finally got around to trying them. I got the ultimate velveeta cheeseburger along with a Bloody Mary. The cheeseburger was excellent. The velveeta makes for a wonderfully melty cheese and it complements the meat well. The pickles, onions, and condiments heighten the flavor. I thought it was an excellent burger. The Bloody Mary was okay, but nothing to really crow about. It did have plenty of savory toppings, however. My one big complaint is that prices seem high for the food. My burger was at least $15 by itself, which seems steep compared to other burger joints I’ve visited recently. Still, I don’t think you can go wrong with their simpler menu items, so long as you’re willing to pay a premium.
The staff was friendly and the place was comfortable with a warm atmosphere.

Visited for dinner tonight. This was the 3rd day of opening for the season. We were greeted and seated immediately. The Onion rings were delicious. Turkey burger was really good and patty melt was also very good. Christian our waiter was very attentive and he was so nice. We will be back. This is one of the restaurants that says “summer is coming”. Thanks for 50 years and congrats.

Unsure how anyone rates it less than 5 stars. Food was absolutely delicious. I loved the atmosphere too, seemed very comfortable. They sell alcoholic beverages too which was a nice surprise.

“The burger that made New Buffalo famous!”…. was a not so hilarious joke we realized after one bite into our food. I was excited to try something new as a tourist passing through & multiple reviews praised the food, particularly the burgers, and that’s what my partner wanted. I begged him to try this place versus a chain restaurant and that was a huge mistake.

Parking lot was packed, we waited 20 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was wonderful. Got some mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were ok. Not the best but also not the worst. We got two burgers, and two sizes of fries. The burgers are served wrapped in paper like a fast food restaurant. Paper plates plastic silverware.

Fries were not seasoned, and neither were the burgers. Took one bite and was immediately disappointed. It was like biting into a block of ground beef. No other tastes, not even salt or pepper. Why this place is raved about like it is i genuinely will never know. I seasoned both my burger and the fries at the table w salt and pepper and it wasn’t even redeemable. Burgers were also nearly an inch thick. disgusting amount of meat especially w no flavor with it.

The best thing about this place was the fountain sprite & the homemade ranch. The lack of accepting any other payment besides cash is also incredibly inconvenient. I wasted $63 on this meal for two people and could’ve gotten better flavor at Culver’s for a fraction of the cost. Obviously, we will never be returning.
