Red Wing Barrel House is the first established bar in Minnesota dating back to 1886! It has a very cozy & swanky vibe promoting it’s history with old photos and of course whiskey! We serve hand made pizzas, panini’s and gourmet hot dogs. Live music is featured every Friday and Saturday evening. It is a great place for a date night! 21 and over!

The paninis were very good and the server was very helpful and friendly. It’s pretty dark inside. There are some fun looking alcoholic drinks if that is your thing. The bathroom was the cleanest and nicest bar bathroom I have ever seen. In fact, it was one of the cleanest public bathrooms I have ever seen anywhere.

Stopped in after a morning of fishing and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem! It was mid afternoon and the only complaint was that we had to flag down a server for refills, which they happily addressed our requests. Food was hot and tasty. Prices were reasonable and we’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area again!

This place was like a little secret hideaway. Very dark (minimal lighting) but very unique. The belartender/waitress/cook was a very nice and sweet.
We had The Cuban to eat and I say for bar food absolutely delish!
Also they have the cutest little barrel cups and we were able to buy 2 of them to take home.
Loved everything about this place.
Will return if in the area.

Nice place. We were in Red Wing for the fall art festival and stop in for a drink in the afternoon. Servi e was very good. We went back for dinner. The service was very good even though the place was busy. They had an okay beer selection. Drinks were all made from scratch. The food was just okay. Had the rubin. They had music on the night we were there. It got to be very loud. Too much for an old man .

A fun little place we hadn’t been to in years. Thought it would be fun to try their gourmet hotdogs. I have to give them an A for effort. They were okay. But if they would actually use good, all beef, skin on hotdogs, they would have been great! The staff was great. Definitely for the older crowd, at least while we were there. Live music that was good.

Claims oldest bar in Minnesota. I beg to differ . The owner was awesome and we had a lot of fun with friendly banter. Drinks were good and the atmosphere was alright. A little dark, but definitely cool.

Mule was delicious, but cant say that for the pork nachos.
Pork Nachos were less than par. Pile of chips in a basket with concession stand nacho cheese topped with the wettest, pale pork I have ever seen. Expected something of higher standards and better quality with the foot ratings being so high.
And for the 30 seconds it took to make them, w waited way too long to recieve them

We found this spot by accident a few years back. Now everytime we are in Red Wing, Barrel House is a must stop for us. Bartenders are so friendly and welcoming, they are very attentive to each person that comes in. Fun drink options, great food choices and they will recommend favorites. I strongly suggest you check out this gem, one of my favorite Red Wing stops! Thank you for the hospitality, Barrel House!
