Interesting restaurant located inside the Truckee Airport. Unique combinations of Indian spices, Mediterranean flavors, and Mexican ingredients. Small dining area, so seating for large parties might be difficult. Good view of the airplanes and you can watch them takeoff and land. Friendly staff, and a large free parking lot.

I flew into Truckee and discovered that they had a restaurant on the field, which is always nice. I stayed over for a couple of extra days and ate here twice. Wonderful people working there, especially the person working the register. It looks like the menu changes a bit on a day-to-day basis. I enjoyed everything I had there. The chicken tikka masala bowl had lots of curry and was very good. I got the naan and hummus, and the hummus was very good, but the bread was more like a pita. The gyro on my second visit was very good! Red Truck is a really nice airport restaurant and I look forward to eating there again!

Stopped by here to get some lunch after skiing. I was really surprised by this place, as I wasn’t expecting such unique and delicious food from a small airport cafe. I had the Naan Hot Dog and my Lady had the samosas and a salad. The food was flavorful and prepared quickly. They have a nice outside patio next to the landing strip, with a playground and great views of the mountains. A great place to grab lunch on the way out of town when you’re done skiing.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka naan sandwich and it was yummy! I also thought the cookie was a nice satisfying treat to my sweet tooth addiction. The great part about this is that you get to see private jets take off and land while you’re eating. It was a bit noisy and windy that day, but overall a great experience. Def worth checking out this hidden gem while you’re near Lake Tahoe.

So I’m giving it 3 stars because I felt it was expensive for what I got. The food quality is definitely 4 stars for Truckee. This was my first time here I got the nanwhich with flafel. It was really good. The bread was very nice consistency. A good array of veggies. And the flafel was nice and crispy. Maybe if I got side of rice I’d been sastified. Definitely worth the effort to eat here.

This is a tiny little restaurant and a hidden little place. But worth the time and effort to get there. They have a fun menu and everything is wonderfully tasty and great staff. If you like, you can watch the private planes land and take off right outside the restaurant.

This was great, thought it was odd to only go inside an airport to eat and not fly, not the case, a lot of people do this and for good reason. The food is great, Indian inspired items. If in Northstar this is a great spot to grab a quick meal. It’s fast too, totally worth it.
