We have tried a few Chinese restaurants in the area, and this one is the worst that we have ever had. Sweet and sour chicken was greasy and there was a lot of …

First time trying this place and definitely the last. I have never felt so ripped off before ordering Chinese food in my entire life. The reviews online say there is large portions so either I’m getting punked or people are used to eating just a spoon full of everything.
I ordered for three people and got one regular size to go box (little white paper box) of each item…. For 3 people….
There was literally not even enough soup to fill up one bowl. No condiments, no fortune cookies, order instructions not followed, & no service with a smile. When I ordered over the phone, person was very short with me after explaining I haven’t ordered here before (that should have been my first cue).
I have tasted the food and it’s absolutely mediocre and disgusting… The lo mein tastes burnt, completely flavorless and bland. It cost $80 but I still had to go to Panda Express so that there was ACTUALLY enough food for three people. I did this because I did not feel like fighting with them since we’ve seen online that they apparently call the cops on people for complaining.
It’s really sad that Golden Village is shut down because you get double the amount of food and way better quality for the same price. With this quality you might as well go to the Modern in Walla Walla because you’re going to get double the amount of food for about half the cost.

Pictures included show size comparison of Panda Express small next to what red tea garden gives you for rice and lo mein, for three people… Picture of soup that’s for three people with fortune cookie to give you size reference. And finally a picture of what you get for 80 dollars. Pathetic.

Came for the food have been coming back for the service! First came to this restaurant back in February for a valentine’s dinner! Have been coming back because of our server and the food! It’s always good and will
Continue to keep coming to this spot whenever I come to this side of Washington/oregon! Usually eat their sweet and sour chicken or kung Pao chicken but tried the asparagus chicken and omg I was in heaven!! Will be coming back again and again!

Food was great. Customer service wasn’t. The server acted as if he was annoyed & irritated whenever we tried talking to him. When I asked for extra napkins his reaction was pretty rude & unbelievable. Again food was great but service wasn’t bad. When we heard him get ready to answer the phone his reaction was (oh my god!) as if any type of work was a hassle. Luckily the good food made up for the servers bad attitude. I also tip on customer service, if I feel I’m not getting good service then I’m not goi g to tip good.

The waiter seemed bored and unhappy. We tried to boost his spirits by asking about his day, but to no avail. The food was OK. Complimentary egg flower soup was served, which, I’m assuming has chicken broth in it, but when I asked, he didn’t know, and just offered to take it back, rather than find out. He did offer to make a low spice dish.
I’m guessing they might be short staffed, as I think, there was only one other person we saw working.

At the Red Tea Garden the food was phenomenal! Our waiter (younger guy) was super quick, he was a little annoyed, remembered exactly what we wanted but that a tendency in a restaurant.

Now for the bar, can’t say the same. The older gal running the bar (bar tender) was extremely rude, and didn’t want to take our order (12/12/25 at 6pm.) we sat at the bar for 10+ minutes waiting for our order to be taken, just to be ignored. When the bar tender eventually took our drink order, we observed the bar tender grossly over pouring our drinks. Later I observed the bar tender mix a drink for a newer customer. That’s when I noticed bar tender added 4 different kinds of alcohol to a 16oz glass (little bits of ice) 3/4 alcohol with a little soda) mixed drink shouldnt be 90%+ alcohol. Due to the bar tenders attitude, and inability to pour professionally, and crud service, I’ll stick to the restaurant and The Let’s Go Inn!

Friendly and clean. Food portions extremely large. I am just stuffed. I have traveled plenty and this is always the best. I grew up next door and even though the owners have changed, the food is still great.
I never get Lemon chicken that tastes good and it was not watery. Getting hot tea with my meal just topped off the service.

Just horrible Chinese food. I guess we had to remind ourselves why we stopped going. Their egg foo young are overdone dry patties. The orange and almond chicken is 50% batter and dry to the point of being inedible. Complete waste of money. Will not be back!

I need to give a huge thank you to our wonderful waitress Melody. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome. She went above and beyond to make everything perfect. It’s rare to come across service that is so thoughtful. We will be coming back!
