Stopped by to see my dad’s old bar. Serb remembered my father and sat down and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I will never forget the experience I had and appreciated Serbs kindness and conversation very much.

Red Star is a small town bar that has been around since I was a kid, the owner (Serb) is a wonderful man who contributes to the community and is Highly respected in this Area, if anyone has had any problems here then it was your own doing, they are not rude and welcome everyone who walks in the door. If you did have a problem and didn’t speak to the owner about it then shame on you, he would have handled the situation. Red Star is a bar to sit down and listen to the old timers talk about the old days, have a drink and yes, smoke a cigarette. We are a small coal mining town who still love the good old fashioned ways of life.

This is a real honest-to-goodness dive bar people smoke people drink people tell stories about the way things used to be do any girls smelling like cheap cigarettes and stale beer shell it is a large nostalgic place but I never care if I go again
