This store has the best country ham in the state! A lot home made preserves and pickled vegetables can be found here. Also, they have a small inside dining area. During this pandemic, they are mindful cleanliness and social distance. This is a real treasure in Hanover County. This is a place we will be visiting often.

I have loved visiting the Red Rooster! The environment is welcoming, workers are friendly, and they serve great food! place is delightful! Their sandwiches are fresh and delicious and stacked with ingredients so you get a lot for your $. There are options for breads and sides if you are gluten-free, too. The atmosphere is exactly what you want a country store to be and the staff are very friendly. 10/10 recommend!
