Locally owned spot with a good variety of rice and noodle dishes. Beef pho was super flavorful and the signature crispy chicken with fried rice was really good as well- we had a lot of rice left over too. Can get crowded during busy times, but overall service was pretty efficient

I had a really wonderful time here, and I thought the pho served was maybe the best I’d ever had. The serving size was so big, and for a whole homemade pho, extra noodles, extra veggies, a Thai tea, and water, with great service on a very busy night it only cost me $21 and change before tip. I left feeling like I’d eaten a great meal, and felt super happy. And I’m back today to have the same meal again! 🙂

What a shame! This restaurant was one of the first restaurants that I tried when I first moved to Gainesville years ago. I supported them through takeout and dine-in for years, even through Covid. I was always impressed by their taste and portion. However, recently their portion sizes have deteriorated drastically, while prices have stayed the same. In addition, their front of house service is almost nonexistent with constant yelling and shouting back-and-forth with the kitchen which created a bad dining experience for us.

One word describes this dinning experience, Delicious! First time dinning at the Red Rice Kitchen and from start to finish it was an enjoyable dining experience. My party ordered crispy vegetable rolls, steamed dumplings and seafood Rangoon’s, all beautiful prepared and delicious. For main courses we had the garlic rice with shrimp and the crispy chicken soup with egg noodles. Everything was flavored beautifully and again, delicious. Our server was professional, attentive and friendly. Authentic and Quality! Highly recommend visiting Red Rice Kitchen.

Pho : not authentic. The bowl was supposed to come with : Tái (rare steaks), brisket and Beef-balls. The steaks came fully cooked, why ? And there was no beef-balls bò viên. At least the broth was ok, but the menu clearly says beef balls. Don’t lie to the customers.
Waiter never came to check on us.
Red curry : weird curry flavor, not authentic. But someone might like it.
This place is probably cater to the flavor profile of non-Asians. But as a Vietnamese, I’m disappointed.

Five stars is not enough. Service was quick, incredibly friendly staff, and the food NEVER misses. So delicious. I recommend the Spicy Red Curry w/ rice or noodles. I think this very well may be my favorite restaurant in Gainesville. The staff is always incredibly kind.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful in navigating their menu. Their house beef pho is some of the best in Gainesville. My husband and I visited today for lunch and I had the chicken lemongrass clay pot, which was incredibly flavorful with tender chicken. It was served with a large side of rice and veggies. My husband had the shrimp and pork wonton chicken soup, which was outstanding. The wontons are made in house and delicious. Both our meals were served hot and with fresh ingredients. I find this place underrated. They have a varied menu of Vietnamese and Thai dishes and is a great local spot!

My review for this place is way over due! This is by far the best Viet/Thai cuisine. I go to this place at least once a month to sit and eat. The inside is lovely and the FOH workers are always pleasing. The best umami PHO, crispy chicken that comes with the infamous dipping sauce and it’s even better when you choose one of their best fried rice mixes. My photos below are from several visits and everyone is a 10/10! 😉

Interesting and variatable food choice. I wanted to try something new and I don’t regret it. Not only was the food packed full of flavor, hot and fresh, but it was a large serving in a unique stone bowl. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere very comfortable. Even though its a small suite, there was no wait and our food came out pretty quick. There is also outside seating. The parking lot was full for the strip right outside the building, but we were able to park at the KFC nearby.
