Delicious iced ube milk, but so sweet that you can probably dilute it with more milk and it would still be so good. Great customer service and love that you can pick up popular Filipino individually wrapped pastries or fresh cakes/slices as needed here. Prices are decent, not too high nor low. Their display case always features their freshly made rolls and cakes. I did not try their Halo-Halo (almost $8!) but I’m sure it is delicious too. If you need a big mango cake for special occasion, this is the place to go!!!!!

I bought an ube cake on July 19, 2024 and noticed the expiry date while we were eating last night that says Best Before 18724 which can be found in the cake board. Just by seeing the date, first thing that comes to your mind is that, the date is 18 July 2024. When I went to the store to complain, the manager told me that the numbers are based on Julian calendar. She further showed me an email from the management explaining that they are using the Julian calendar for the expiration dates. She pointed out to me that the real expiration date is August 7 pointing to the numbers in the box. Looking at the numbers on the box, the numbers were printed as 080.7. On top of it is 19024. If you have to base the 19024 in the Julian calendar, it will come out as July 8, 2024. A Julian calendar should put the last 2 digits of the year which is 24 and will follow the number of the days. For example Jan 1 should be 24-001, Dec 31 should be 24-365 since Dec 31st is the 365th day of the year. Another example is today, which is July 20 it should be 24-202 since July 20 is the 202nd day of the year( since it’s a leap year). The format is already incorrect, which make me already doubt the claims, but if being very generous in assuming that 24 refers to 2024, based on the dates which they claimed as the Julian calendars dates in the cake board it shows 18724 is July 5, 2024 in the Julian Calendar. In the box that showed 19024 would mean July 8, 2024. And what about the 080.7 that the manager claimed as the expiration date? It directly contradicts her statement claiming it’s a Julian calendar date since it doesn’t follow the format at all, there’s not a even a year! I decided to complain cause this is no longer acceptable. Prior to this incident, I bought a bag of mamon and when I opened it after I got home, I found molds even if the expiry date was supposed to be 2 days later as indicated by the expiry sticker. I called and they asked me to come back for refund. I did not since my house is 30 mins away. I explained my complaints at the store but it was obvious that the staff was not equipped to handle the situation. I’m just hoping they will train their staff, especially the managers on how to handle their customers so they are at least ready to answer questions and complaints properly. Because your customers are not stupid.

I tried almost all of the ones they sell but the ones that I will be buying in a bundle are: yema caramel ensaimada, ube mamon, and ube ensaimada. They are moist with tons of cheese and the size is great. Best if shared since the calories are high, but the flavor is amazing. It has been a while since I had my hands on great ensaimadas so I will be returning again and again. My bf tried the chicken empanada and liked it, but he wouldn’t buy it again for the price and size. He said it was missing a dip. There were no veggie options for the empanadas so I could not try it, but they smelled delicious.

my first time at red ribbon, recommended by a friend! i honestly thought this was going to be a fresh bakery, not baked goods in packages… but wanted to try nevertheless! i got the variety pack and upon going to eat one butter mamon, my husband saw there was mold on it. the expiration date was 4/15, and it is 4/13 as of today. since the mamons and ensaimadas come prepackaged, there really is no way for customers or employees to see the quality of these items. i called and let them know to maybe pull the variety packs off the shelves, but as i mentioned, the mamons & ensaimadas come (presumably) shipped ready to place on shelves….. not made in store like the cakes. this is definitely a production mistake, not the store itself. but just wanted to warn any future customers! try the FRESH items – not the prepackaged ones!
