Janina and her team at Red Poppy made our wedding cake and dessert bar for our wedding on 10/24/25 and we couldn’t recommend them more! We met with Janina for an extensive consultation and tasting, which was so much fun. The possibilities of what she can create are endless. We had some amazing flavor combos, and everyone raved about the desserts. We made sure to have some gluten-free options and those guests said they were the best gluten free desserts they’ve ever had! Working with Red Poppy was seamless and an absolute blast. I believe this was also the first time she worked with our wedding venue, and our venue coordinators all told us how great she was and how they’d love to work with her again 🙂

I just want to start off with is WOW! janina is such a talented and wonderful person to work with. We ordered a small cake and two different flavored whoopie pies for our wedding. I will attach photos so that you are able to see the detail and care that were put into these deserts. Janina was timely with any communication we had with her, pricing was fair and reasonable. Can’t say enough nice things about Red Poppy Cakery! We went with them for our Wedding Cake and Cupcakes, and would have considered no alternative. We had a delightful first experience with our tasting – Janina’s comprehensive knowledge and presentation of everything from cake composition options to details of physical delivery logistics put us so at ease, and made us so confident that we would be taken care of. And then there’s the cake flavors! She has such a lovely variety of cakes, fillings, and frostings to choose from, that really allowed us to get a little funky with it and create some killer cakes/cupcakes that felt unique to us, and a little more adventurous in flavor than your average wedding desserts. And they came out looking so perfect, cute, and delicious! Honestly, every step of the process with Red Poppy was just so seamless and effortless, and I’d recommend working with them for everyone – from novice cake-purchasers like us to someone who’s getting cakes and treats every week.

We hired Red Poppy to do our cake and dessert table and were so blown away by everything. From the flavors to the aesthetics, Janina nailed the autumnal rustic vibe we were going for. We did a maple bourbon vanilla cake and it literally was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted and so beautiful!! The cake was so moist and the flavors were perfect. The cupcakes were delicious as well and we all were obsessed with the mini pies – so cute!!! Could not be happier with everything and everyone could not stop complimenting our desserts. I ordered a princess cake for my daughter’s 4th birthday, and it was absolutely stunning and delicious. Even my sister joked, “Your cake has a balayage,” which honestly felt accurate. The two tiers were pure magic. The moment she saw it, her eyes lit up in that unmistakable four-year-old way that makes everything worth it. There is no universe where I could have created something like this myself, and I am so grateful Red Poppy made it happen. I ordered and added the princess topper separately at my own request.

We’re not from the area but eloped in VT, so I found Red Poppy online ahead of time and placed an order for our small, vegan wedding cake. I didn’t give very much helpful direction but Janina worked her magic and the cake came out gorgeous and delicious! The vegan buttercream is especially some of the best I’ve had. We’ll definitely be visiting again on our next trip to the area!

Janina and her team at Red Poppy Cakery were excellent! They made the cake and cupcakes for our wedding. Six different flavors of gluten free cupcakes and our guests can’t stop talking about them. Everyone went up to try more flavors because they were all so good, and our guests couldn’t believe they were all gluten free! From the initial zoom call to our cupcake taste tasting and the setup, Red Poppy Cakery was extremely professional and delicious 🙂 They delivered to VINS in Quechee and did a wonderful job with the display. We worked with Janina at Red Poppy Cakery on a cake and dessert bar for our wedding and had a great experience. From our initial live tasting, she was extremely communicative and made the entire process very easy. Her recommendations along the way were helpful and allowed us to make some adjustments to our cake that we ended up loving on our wedding day. The dessert bar was a huge hit and I think my uncle ate the entire table of tiramisu parfait cups. The banana and maple cream cheese whoopie pies we ordered were also a 10/10. We especially appreciated their ability to accommodate some last minute dietary restrictions that we were made aware of. The day of, they arrived on time for delivery and put together the most adorable dessert table I have ever seen. We would recommend working with Red Poppy Cakery.

Janina was great to work with in providing our wedding cake. We were looking for a fun combination of our favorite flavors, and she had great ideas about which combinations work best and which ones would be possible for a wedding cake. A month ahead of our big day, she made some cupcake versions to try, which we were easily able to pickup and test. The cake was delivered to our venue on time, and looked amazing. Our guests loved the flavor, and we are looking forward to enjoying the cake again at the 1 year anniversary. We would definitely choose Red Poppy again!
Update: we froze the top layer of our cake after our wedding and just enjoyed it on our first anniversary. It still tasted SO moist and delicious and brought back such sweet memories! Thank you Janina!
