Me and my family were so pleased with our first time here. We came on a week night so it wasn’t busy but it wasn’t dead either! Plenty of other couples and families enjoying themselves. I can attest to the ribs, steak (medium well), brisket, baked potatoes and SMOKED Mac & cheese. The ribs are tender and juicy you’ll find it falling off the bone and not needing much time to chew with a delectable sauce that has a bit of a kick. My son had the medium well steak and he demolished it, said it was the best! His dad got the brisket on a sandwich and it was very good too. The baked potatoes are soft like a cloud and the Smoked Mac & Cheese I honestly wish I could order in bulk lol it was seriously almost the best thing next to the ribs. Our service was phenomenally friendly and our waitress was very accommodating, accurate and had a great personality. Me and my son also got hooked up with a couple shirts! We will be back soon!!!!

First time here in a long time. The atmosphere is great, and our server was awesome. She recommended some dishes that we tried and they were good. We came with friends and had a great time. Our order came quickly to our table and promptly. The place was clean and well lit. We had a great time and will definitely be back. The ribs and bbq pork are really good. I would highly recommend it when in Ottawa. The baked beans were superb.

We hadn’t been here before, but heard it was delicious. Nice family dining atmosphere with a friendly staff. I ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs and fries because they’re known for their ribs. My wife ordered the Red Pig burger, and we each had a side salad. The ribs were “ok” but that Red Pig burger was amazing! That CBS burger patty hits different! I’ll be skipping the ribs next time and smashing on a burger!

Grabbed a couple friends went for an hour drive. Overall it was a good experience. It’s a really nice building with plenty of room. It was very clean. The nachos were really good. The fried chicken was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The ribs are okay. The drinks seemed very reasonable in price almost two unreasonable. I would be tempted just to come back here for drinks.

Very nice quiet, clean restaurant with some really good food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had the BBQ pork nachos but substituted the nacho chips for fries. Our waitress said she’s never had that request before and never seen it, but she really liked the idea and made it happen along with the kitchen staff. Who knows, maybe they’ll put it on the menu. It was so good my boyfriend kept digging into it. He had the mushroom Swiss burger and Mac and cheese. It was awesome also. The only thing we really didn’t care for was the sweet tea he had ordered. It tasted like it had been setting for too long. I make southern sweet tea (Louisiana for 36 years of my life) and have for decades, so I’ve tasted that taste before if the tea had been sitting for too many days. But we left very happy and full with leftovers.

This plain restaurant is quite a gem. The ribs were perfectly sauced, tender, and juicy without going to extremes. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. There was no wait for a table on a Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to our next visit.

Must only be good for the locals! Stopped by while traveling about an hour before they close. Walked in to most the lights off and we weren’t even the only ones in there. We stood for minutes before someone reluctantly acknowledged us. Was told we couldn’t order pizza or ribs. Got sat and ordered within minutes yet the staff attitude was dissatisfying and radiated annoyance. Well we were also annoyed at the CONSTANT pig/duck/snorting sound coming from the game by the front door. We only saw our waitress 3 times total. Waited almost 30 mins (when there were no other orders) for a burnt appetizer and then our food literally 60 sec later. We were told “here you go” as she put our food at the opposite side of the table and just walked away. I grabbed the plate and dropped it because it was so hot and she didn’t even warn us. They had to of microwaved it because the plate was very hot for food that wasn’t even warm. Food was horribly basic and def not worth the price! $50 for 2 people without a tip?! Oh and a cut up piece of paper just floats around the front menu sleeve stating that the menu prices have increased but not which ones or by how much. It is insane that it’s $17 for a singular piece of bread with a scoop of dry pulled pork that tasted like it came from a freezer meal, “smoked” mac cheese that definitely wasn’t smoked and was disgustingly thick and dry, along with water-soaked flavorless green beans. They didn’t even give me my included cornbread. For a BBQ place, I expected good pulled pork with smoked mac & cheese that has that yummy cheese crust on top and flavorful green beans with the bacon and onion. I also don’t agree with staff standing there staring at you as you pay on their little tablet putting in tip information and thumbs up or down. Could have ate at TRH or CityBBQ for cheaper and better! Overall very disappointed and won’t recommend or go back.

We’ve been coming here for years and usually enjoy it, but today was really disappointing. We arrived right when they opened at 11 a.m. I took my son to the men’s restroom and noticed there was no soap. I mentioned it to our waitress, and she said she’d take care of it — but an hour later, still no soap. That’s pretty concerning, especially for the staff who should be washing their hands.
They got busy all at once, which I completely understand, so I was patient about the wait for food. I ordered my usual Boss Hog burger, but it tasted off this time. When I checked, I found a piece of wax paper still attached to the burger — possibly from the cheese slice. That’s not something a cook should miss.
When I asked for a manager, I was told none were on duty that early on a Sunday. The waitress apologized and took the burger off the bill, which I appreciated, but overall, the experience was really disappointing. Between the missing soap and the wax paper in my food, I left pretty uncomfortable about cleanliness and quality control.

This was a surprising time since I’ve never had this bad of an experience, but here we go..
I went to this restaurant around 5:45 and didn’t get out until around 7:05, and there was a lot of people who showed up after us, leave earlier than what we did. Food took 45-50 mins to cook and when we got it, half of our food was cold.
Our server was great, even though she was a Michigan fan, but everything else sucked.
The environment included a lot of screaming, so hard to speak.
I haven’t been here in a while, and maybe there’s a reason why I haven’t.
It’s went downhill over a course of a year, and it’s sad.
