– Complimentary mango lassi: 9/10, so yummy, and it was so nice that it was free! The owner said they bottle it fresh every morning. Very creamy and yogurt-y
– Chicken tikka masala: 10/10, very flavorful, and the chicken was tender
– Lamb biryani: 8/10, pretty flavorful, and meat was tender and not dry
– Garlic naan: 9/10, loved the flavor
*Note: Most of the other customers were white lol, but food was still solid
The chicken biryani is breathtaking: deeply aromatic, perfectly spiced, and unforgettable. The lasooni gobi explodes with garlicky flavor and crispy goodness, while the garlic naan is warm, soft, and impossible to stop tearing into. And the chicken korma—rich, creamy, and soul-soothing—is the kind of dish you crave long after you’ve left.
Red Onion isn’t just serving food, it’s serving passion, tradition, and pride. Every bite reminds you why this place is celebrated—and why you’ll keep coming back.
You can really taste the difference — the spices are sourced directly from India. The butter chicken was the best I’ve had, and the chai tea was authentic. The mango lassi is made fresh downstairs, and canned in-house.
The owner even came by to explain where they source their meats and seafood.
Our butter chicken originally came with bones, which we didn’t realize, but the owner quickly replaced it with a boneless version without any fuss. Excellent food and warm, thoughtful service — highly recommend!
The Pindi Cholle were the best I have ever eaten! The spices and the texture was wonderful. That said there was oil spooling at there bottom and my stomach definitely felt it the next day. The Pandora road Butter Chicken was a massive disappointment. I was really excited for it but the gravy tasted like a mildly spiced tomato soup, the chicken was fine. The samosa chaat and naan was also fine. I’m not eager to return any time soon but would eat certain dishes here if I happen to be around the area and hungry.
