Came into the restaurant as part of a girl’s trip: had a wonderful time!! Made to feel so well at ease by both Alyssa and Jacob!! I got a filet for the first time ever, and was absolutely blown away!! Everything about the food/drink and experience here was amazing!!! I hope to come back in town soon so I can eat here again! Thanks again, Alyssa!!!

While visiting Downstream Casino and Resort, We made a reservation at the Red Oak Steakhouse. We were greeted with a beautiful smile and seated in a timely manner. Our waiter was very attentive and recommended dishes as well. The food was delicious. Side dishes were big portions and easily sharable. Over all we had great time and enjoyed our dinner.

We had a great experience. The food was incredible, very low wait times for it being 6:30pm, and our waitress was very polite and kind. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for a great dining experience!

If you’re looking for a classy quite dinner this is definitely the place to go! My husband took me for my 30th birthday and it was the best steak I’ve ever had! The waitress was awesome and very attentive, the manager even came over with some delicious chocolate cake to celebrate. The seating was wonderful too! Definitely try the stuffed mushroom for an appetizer!

I try this place once a year to make sure it hasn’t turned things around. Last night the service was awesome, but the Ribeye was terrible. Overcooked and chewy. Wafflehouse has better steak cooks than this place. The portobello mushroom app was decent but I’m not sure why you’d put a well done piece of tenderloin on top of it. So weird. Hard to find good help I guess.

My favorite restaurant hands down! The best part of going to Downstream Casino. Try the Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo. You won’t be able to stop eating even after you are full. Steaks that are grilled to perfection, and side dishes you will only find at a gourmet restaurant. All of their food is clean. Raised and grown on their own grounds served fresh to you. Amazing, and always worth the hour drive. Do make reservations especially on weekends.

Food was gross. Asparagus were very hard and over sized, scallops cook very poorly, had to spit back out, couldn’t eat either like the Asparagus. Sautéed wild mushrooms were also nasty. A couple bits was enough. Could not eat my meal. Girl friend got the watermelon strawberry salad with grilled chicken. The watermelon was very sweet. Grilled chicken didn’t come with the salad like it should. It came after she was finished with her salad. She ate half the grill chicken and it made her sick, ending our night early. I definitely won’t eat here again and strongly recommend stay away. Also this crap that was inedible cost 111.00. Total rip off.

Our first experience at Red Oak was not a good one. I anticipated a nice, quaint dining experience with above average food quality. Unfortunately that was not the case. The atmosphere, service, and food quality were that of a lower end steakhouse chain. My NY Strip was bland and tough. It was slightly overcooked and lacked the qualities I would expect from a $100+ steak at a steakhouse. A guest in our party had ordered Ahi tuna, that came out as a platter of rubber and had to be sent back. A separate guest in our party ordered a fillet that was heavily covered in gristle. The waitress seemed appalled at how our food was served to us, but little was done to make it right. If you want a good steak and a good atmosphere, go to Wilder’s. You’ll save some money and have a better experience. We will not be back.

Honestly, had a very disappointing experience at Red Oak Steakhouse on the evening of 03/15/25. We dined at Red Oak about 6+ months ago and had their truffled creamed corn at the time it was absolutely fabulous. I had been thinking of nothing but coming back and reordering that corn. Last night, the opportunity to visit Red Oak presented itself, and I had the opportunity to order the creamed corn again…what I was given last night was the complete opposite of what I was given 6 months ago. The corn was somehow bland with a smoky after taste. It honestly tasted like someone had taken a can of creamed corn and added liquid smoke.

My husband had the dry aged ribeye, which he later admitted was burnt on the outside and overdone on the inside.

I ordered the petite fillet, which, while tender, lacked seasoning.

The brussel sprouts were the only redeeming aspect of the meal. They were flavorful with a crispy exterior.

Service was also very disappointing. We saw our server twice while other parties received more attention from her. There were separate team members going around filling water glasses, and they did a wonderful job ensuring beverages remained filled.

When it came time to get the check, I had to ask someone else to bring it. I was dying to get out of the restaurant because once I finished dinner my stomach immediately started churning. Thankfully, they had a restroom within the restaurant that I excused myself to while my stomach decided on whether or not to empty it’s contents into a public toilet. My husband said no way your stomach could have been upset by the food that quickly. A few hours later, my husband’s stomach was also churning.

In addition to the disappointing meal and service, our table was so wobbly you could fit a copy of Grey’s Anatomy under it. I had to hold the table down with my feet while we ate it was so wobbly.

In the end, it seems like Red Oak’s quality has declined significantly since our last visit. I am all for giving places an off night, but with the drastic change in quality and service, Red Oak will not be getting another chance. You would be better off going to Texas Roadhouse.

MANAGER WOULDN’T MAKE IT RIGHT.
They claim to be fine dining, not so! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary here tonight. Both of us had ordered filet mignon. His was cooked to his liking. Mine, on the other hand, was clearly under cooked, which the waitress noted right away. When my husband asked to speak with the manager, she came over and was very condescending. My husband was so kind to her even with her narcissistic attitude. He explained that he was very disappointed that he could not enjoy his dinner with his wife at the same time. She just stated that even though they had messed up, we should have been happy to wait until they cooked the stake again. Common decency would be to apologize and to make it right on the check. Since it was at no fault of the customer that you sent the food out without it being cooked correctly.
