The restaurant is decorated with historical photos and unique items, with a pretty garden view. We stopped for lunch before heading on to the Maritime Museum, ordering a chicken sandwich and a burger. Both were delicious and accompanied with a lot of waffle fries.
The service was good and pricing fair both sandwiches cost around $20 each. We enjoyed watching the small airplanes land as we ate. I’d stop here again. We were here on a Monday afternoon, and it wasn’t busy as you can see by the photos.

Food was fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful and cozy, and our server Georgia was an ABSOLUTE sweetheart! Things admittedly took a bit longer to come out than we expected, but for a very full establishment it was not bad at all. Definitely coming back again!

Came in for dinner a couple nights ago and our experience was great. Our server was Jon and he did an amazing job describing the special, which was a lobster fettuccine. It sounded amazing so I got one and partner got his other recommendation, the chicken and waffles. We were both very happy with the food. Ate so much we forgot to save space for dessert. Will definitely be back and asking for Jon. 5/5 for sure!

Nice place to stop in for lunch. There is a picnic area outside but the breeze was a bit chilly so we opted to lunch inside. Not crowded on a Monday afternoon so we sat right away.
Good selection on the menu.
The tacos were on the Small Bites list and it didn’t say there were three of them so it was like a full meal!
The Lobster roll was Real lobster and we took a caesar salad as a side.
The Honey Crispy Chicken Bowl was a generous portion for a lunch size.
Good down home food, views of greenery everywhere- it’s on the golf course property!- yes we would come back.

I first discovered the Red Mill 30 years ago in 1995 working for the DR company in Vergennes. I loved the place from the start with its great food and rustic, country atmosphere. It’s one of my favorite places to eat when I am in the area. I live in southern VT now but any time I get up that way I always make a trip over to the Red Mill for a delightful experience. I hadn’t been in a couple years but stopped in 9/19 for lunch and it was fantastic ! My server Kevin was great and all the staff were very friendly. I was also happy to see that the place still remains unchanged with its very comfortable atmosphere and good food it has had for years. I look forward to my next trip to the area to stop by for a great experience again. Thank you to the staff for a keeping the place special !

I’ve eaten here twice with my mom while visiting Basin Harbor resort. The food is high quality, portions are generous, service is great, and the atmosphere is friendly and unassuming. I had wings and the crispy chicken bowl at one meal, and the lobster roll and corn chowder at another. I couldn’t be more pleased and will definitely be back to the Red Mill for more meals! Highly recommend.

Had the most wonderful time! this place is a hidden gem, the staff was amazing, the food was fabulous! so much fun watching planes taxi off the runway. afterwards we went down to the water, what a little treasure this place is! and the staff was beyond superb!!!

My partner and I stopped by for lunch on a rainy day and had a wonderful experience. Not only was the ambience very authentic to Vermont but the food and drinks were delicious. Our waiter, Kevin, was attentive and helpful and really made our experience feel special. We will most definitely be back!

I’ve been wanting to visit this place ever since I moved back home almost 8 years ago and let me tell you, I regret not going SOONER! The Red Mill was simply AMAZING, the food, service an atmosphere was just so lovely! My server, Cathy, was super sweet, patient and helpful. The steak was perfectly cooked and OMG the dirt & worms were incredible, the chocolate mousse was phenomenal and it was a lovely adult spin on a classic kids dessert. I will definitely be back!!! P.S. It would be awesome if the hours were listed on your Google listing.
