I love this place. Its quiet, the service is good, and the food is consistent. The only problem is the last 3 times ive eaten at Red Lotus, they have given me water with SO MUCH mold in it. Im talking huge black floaties surrounded my a bunch of other little floaties. Everything tastes a little like nasty tap water, beverage-wise (sodas and such). But the water is visibly gross. Pretty sure the fountain machine is just nasty because the food seems fine but, man. Unfortunate.

I was recently visiting from Florida and was recommended to try Red Lotus by a friend. My trip is already over but all I can think about is their yummy fried rice. If you’re from Austin and haven’t already fallen in love with this place then you’re missing out. I had a couple other things off the menu which were equally as tasty but I only managed to snag a picture of the fried rice (because I was so excited to dig in.) Not only was the food amazing but the atmosphere was spot on and the staff were super welcoming , Jimmy was my server and he was awesome ! Thank you Red Lotus for making my Austin trip memorable.

This was our first time trying out this restaurant and think it is going to be our new fave for carry out! We got the Cashew chicken, Bangkok basil chicken & the Szechuan pepper chicken…all 3 entrées were so good! The basil chicken was probably my top pick, perfectly spicy and cooked really well. The Szechuan pepper chicken was perfectly spicy too but had too much celery for my taste…will probably pick a different entrée the next time. Good choice for good Chinese food!

Their service was good at least. Chicken in the Pad Thai has the driest chicken I have ever tasted at a restaurant. The Pad Thai was also too sweet, without much ingredients and the eggs were actually being cooked separately, not incorporated into the noodles.

New family-owned restaurant replacing Bamboo Asian Grille. The facility is completely remodeled. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and efficient. The food is cheap but very very good. I could eat a plate of the House Shrimp Rolls by myself! Everything else we ordered was great as well. I’ll be back.

This place is absolutely amazing! My favorite is the beef and scalloped sizzling platter. The Bangkok basil is my second favorite dish. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and they are open for dining at this time. The takeout is also exceptional. Traditional servers and cooks.
