Everything was amazing. The drinks were so good and looked so pretty. We had the crispy shrimp appetizer and seafood boil with two extra crab legs. We made it just in time for happy hour too! Our server was amazing as well, can’t remember his name but we were just there this past Tuesday in the evening. For our first time, we will most definitely be back and recommend people to go.

The food was pretty good. The soda machine could have stronger fountain drinks but other than that the experience was nice. Mel was our server and she was great.

As a regular customer for many years and a big tipper, I was very disappointed last night. When we got there after a bit, we asked for coffee for my grandma. Someone who wasn’t a waiter bring us the coffee, but no sugar no cream no spoon. Then when the waitress finally came, we gave her our order for appetizers and drinks which was fine. We did ask for sugar and cream, which by the time we got it a cup of coffee was cold. That cup of coffee cold sat on our table the whole night that we were sitting there eating. So then we finally gave our order for appetizers. By then we had to ask for another cup of coffee So we were told that they would get the coffee but first they had to do some drinks at the bar after that they would bring it.I guess someone’s being trained. Instead of bringing the coffee, which probably would’ve took three minutes. We waited for coffee again this time it took almost 20 minutes to get one cup of coffee to our table. Once we got it instead of taking the old coffee it was just left there. So now we had a cold cup of coffee and a hot cup of coffee by the end of the night we must’ve had three or four people coming to our table.
I never seen our table so full of chaos you know when a waitress comes to the table they pick up whatever’s already done. We no longer need it. The whole table had so much stuff piled up on it. It was Ridiculous. On top of that, they try to short us on a piece of lobster. They gave us a piece that had no lobster meat in it. Everything we waited for a long time. There wasn’t many people in the restaurant. So if you go while people are being trained, you’re probably gonna have the same problem. And this is our favorite location to go to, but I think this will be the last time we will be visiting it. And it’s usually 4 to 5 people when we go so you know that check is going to be pretty big. I wish I would’ve took a picture of how our table looked.

It’s been quite a number of years since I last visited and with all of the changes over the last decade in and around the area (Red Lobster on Cumberland and Montrose in Norridge) it was nice to see a familiar place that was part of tradition on special occasions with so many good memories, so we decided to visit again for nostalgia with a small group celebrating a birthday on a Wednesday evening.

The prices have really gone up, which I was willing to pay, especially for the nostalgia aspect, however, the quality of the food has unfortunately gone in the opposite trajectory. I can only speak for myself: I haven’t had crab legs for a few years so I was really looking forward to my favorite indulgence, but… oh so underwhelming: small clusters, mildly warm – not hot, and didn’t crack open well. They were very bendy. 100 percent not the quality I remember.

And their biscuits were always to die for, but the taste was off – too spongy – again, not at all like I remember. I’d suggest maybe linen napkins to tuck the biscuits into instead of paper napkins? Stuffed mushrooms (starters) were bland and the mushroom cap itself tasted undercooked. I could go on, but I’ll leave it at this: quality of food does not match pricepoint, HOWEVER.

What saved the experience was our server, Chris. She had personality, was friendly and attentive, yet gave us space, and was overall amazing. She made the birthday even more special by bringing out a sundae with a candle and getting everyone to sing along with Happy Birthday. So we had a good time, enjoyed the more casual, unassuming ambiance, and enjoyed the level of Service. I did notice their nice bar area which was new since I visited last (Bartender made a great Margarita Flight), so because of my experience with our server, I’ll be back to enjoy a cocktail with friends and give them another shot, you know, in the spirit of nostalgia.

Thank you to Chris for making our experience enjoyable!

We came here February 19th at about 5:30 I’m going to write this review and I’m going to expect the owner to say oh we’re sorry that you had a bad experience blah blah blah blah blah I don’t care. I don’t want hear it. This place is terrible. The service is shitty we walked in there was no hostess to be found we waited about 10 minutes to get seated then when we got seated, we had to wait 15 minutes for a waitress to come we ordered our waters waited another 15 minutes for the water and the water was stale. The beer tasted skunky and sour apparently they don’t clean the lines properly. The food took about 30 minutes to come. I got the crab carbonara tasted super salty the was only a few pieces of crab and over loaded with bacon that I asked not to be put in. There was literally nobody in there there was dust flying everywhere above our table. You could see it from the light. The whole experience was crappy. There was another couple across from us that was waiting for their bill as well because it took like 20 minutes to get our bill and the guy had to get up and go to the bar to go get her to get the bill and we had to tell her from across the room that we needed ours as well. As we were leaving, the couple was like this was horrible and we told him the same thing and we all agreed we’re never coming back no matter what I will never ever come back to this restaurant to add to it. I went in the bathrooms and they were very dirty. There was crap all over the handicap stall and in the first stall. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for hours so whoever comes here. Good luck because I will never ever come back here! I never leave bad reviews, but this one deserves it!

Definitely my go to comfort for seafood, I did notice the biscuits aren’t the same they are a bit crispier. Still good just different. I really loved how fresh the broccoli was, and the pasta was a meal on its own. The lobster tails were so good and cooked perfectly

I wish I got my waitresses name tonight, she was the only one there, she checked in on us often. We went in late close to closing so I was nervous to get bad service but she was just lovely! Very grateful she was our waitress tonight!
The food was also delicious the shrimp scampi was my favorite, the favorite shrimp was great as well as was the coconut shrimp.
The biscuits are always heaven!
And yall!!! The price!!! Less than $40 for two people!!!
I saw they also have happy hour and weekday deals!

Terrible place to go if you want seafood. The last time I went I ordered shrimp linguini. The jerk (waiter) brought me shrimp with RICE and insisted it was shrimp with linguini. I know my pasta
They must think they’re the only ones that serve sea food. Lots of other places have GOOD service and give you what you WANT, and they don’t play games with you. It took forever to get the RICE with shrimp. I wasn’t going to wait another 25 minutes. I would NOT recommend that place!! Not to mention the other jerk who tells you where to sit had me sit right next to a table that had 2 families with a bunch of noisy kids. I had to get up and move. There were lots of other booths he could have told me to sit at. I didn’t go to baby sit noisy kids. Terrible place to go to. The Red Lobster location is at 4401 N Cumberland in Norridge Il 60706.

M Red Lobster has been a family tradition for as long as I can remember. It was our parents’ favorite place—a spot we’d visit to celebrate milestones, relax after church, or just enjoy each other’s company over cheddar biscuits and seafood. As the years went on, the restaurant changed. The menu evolved, prices crept up, and the atmosphere shifted. But through it all, we remained loyal.

Even after our parents passed, my siblings and I continued to dine there—not as frequently, but still holding on to those memories tied to every meal. Recently, we heard the news about Red Lobster filing for bankruptcy and bringing on a new CEO. It was bittersweet. We started talking about bringing our tradition back, just to hold onto a piece of our family history.

Then came an unexpected and welcome surprise: seafood boil bags were added to the menu. There were only two options, each with its own flavor profile, and while they were definitely on the pricier side, they were a pleasant change. It gave us a little spark of hope—maybe Red Lobster is trying to reinvent itself and stay in the game.

I’m optimistic about what’s to come. If they continue in this direction, they might just win back some of the love they’ve lost over the years. Either way, I’ll definitely be back to support. Some traditions are worth preserving.

***one note**
Our food didn’t come out at the same time. They were at least 3-5 min apart. Not great service, though our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
