We met family for my wife’s birthday. She wanted lobster and this Red Lobster has been a tradition over the years for her birthday. We were not disappointed. Everyone had a different lobster meal and they were all very good. Yes, they were not low cost, but again very good. The special cocktails were good too, something different. One was a smokey Old Fashioned. It was different and very good. The service was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and attentive. Just what we like. Because we have been going here since I think they opened, the atmosphere is getting a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The booth we were in had plenty of room for the four of us. The Cajun boil dish I had was really amazing with lobster, shrimp, andouille sausage, corn, red potatoes in a spicy butter cajun sauce! It reminded me of Louisiana! Overall we were very well pleased.

Horrible food horrible service and atmosphere! Two waitress were rude with bad attitudes no smiling greetings. The food was horrible. Haven’t been her in about 3 years and I see why.
I took my daughter and her friends here just for a lunch date and even they said this is horrible service. For a 16 year old to feel that the vibe was so wrong that should tell you a lot!

The new Chile spice Calamari was delicious. (Sorry the picture is only half the order, forgot to take the picture when we got it!) This particular Red Lobster in Madison was great. They had a nice staff, clean store, and very good service.

My first RED Lobster experience. We met another couple for dinner on Friday night. It was at the tail end of the dinner rush about 7:00. Our table was ready 15 minutes ahead of time. After taking our seats we were given menus and waited 40 minutes for our drink order along with our biscuits. Waitress was super friendly and apologetic but wow was it a long wait. Food was hot and fresh, it took a bit to get our food. The atmosphere was good and for a Friday night the staff seemed to do their best to keep it clean. Obviously I wasn’t wowed, it’s RED Lobster, but I would stop again if I was in the area.

Disappointed & Misleading …Not a Real Seafood Boil!!
This is NOT a boil. It’s just an attempt at seasoned seafood in a plastic bag. When the server emptied the bag onto my plate, there was so little sauce that I could see more of the metal plate than the sauce.
I asked for more sauce, thinking this was a simple fix, but was told by he server and the manager that the amount is “measured” and that’s the portion you get, and if I wanted more, you would have to pay extra. Seriously? The entire point of a seafood boil is having enough sauce to dip your seafood in. A proper seafood boil should be drenched in flavorful sauce, not rationed out like it’s a side of ketchup. It was pretty much bone-dry, so I had to choose either to use the little sauce for the potatoes or the seafood … there was enough sauce for 1 potato. Funniest part, my gloves were barely dirty by the time I was done eating.
To top it off, I ordered it “extra spicy” and got something that barely registered as mild. There was absolutely no kick, no flavor depth, and certainly no reason to call it a boil. Just a sad bag of under-seasoned seafood.
Red Lobster, if you’re going to offer a seafood boil, do it right or don’t do it at all.

I wish the wait was worth it, but it isn’t. We sat waiting on the bench for 45 minutes until we finally asked where we were in line to be told they “had not started the timer” on our name and we had no table yet. Once we finally got sat, our food took over an hour to get to us. Our server was not attentive at all, I had no drink for over half my wait. We asked for refills and biscuits several times. When the food came out, the portion size is so small and all you get is potatoes from a lobster boil, one of the tails was totally destroyed with no visible meat. Terrible experice for $115, I will not go back to any reb lobster after this nonsense.

Didn’t know what to get for lunch, as usual. Said, Red Lobster? As it is never a NO for us. My mom and I ordered are usual, my dad tried the boil. He 100% loved it! It came in the bag and was drenched in sauce Good thing he utilized the gear that was provided! ….My dad LOVED IT!!!!He is worried it will be gone next time we go back, as he 100% would order this next time again! ( please keep this!!! Drenched in sauce and in the bag still, keeping it left in the bag is perfect if you have leftovers, let it marinate! ) Our Waiter K was nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!!! Thank you for another great experience from start to finish from seating with no wait, server, and kitchen staff!!! You are all very much appreciated!!!

Pros: Sunday evening place was mostly empty, so seating wasn’t an issue. Ordered the $19 specials for the most part, food decent and plentiful. Service started well.
Cons: The waiter disappeared during service and never checked on us after the main course was served had to ask another server for to go box and check.
Never mentioned up charge for some sides. So $6 extra on bill and wouldn’t remove it. (Simply lowered his tip by $6)
Some of the shrimp dishes were overcooked and rubbery. (It’s a chain, and obviously, the employees don’t take pride in service)

I wouldn’t waste your time. The smell and lighting is dim and off. Service was good, but the food took a ling time and the place wasn’t that busy. Expensive and the drinks were subpar. Trash on the ground through the seating area and it was only lunch time. The only good thing about the place for sure was the biscuits but I never plan to go out of my way to go back. Plenty of other better options around the area.
