What I ordered vs what I received, just look at the lobster. I said I wasn’t going to complain because it was the Monday special but when I started to think about it once I got home I was like that was not acceptable nor what the picture look like. The restaurant was empty, so I just really think they should have got me something that look closer to the picture. It was actually funny but just wanted to bring this to you all’s attention to make it look a little more presentable.

Good evening Google Family. I visited for the first time today. I wanted to treat my cousins to a lunch since they have been so kind to allow me to stay with them for the Thanksgiving holiday. Our food was so delicious!!!! James ordered the non-alcoholic bahama mama, and walts fried shrimp, Lisa ordered the lobster and shrimp scampi, Donna ordered the endless soup and salad bowl, lobster bisque and the garden salad, no bacon. I ordered the signature seafood mushrooms and lobster shrimp and salmon with asparagus. Dwarttis P. was our server and he was very good!! He aimed to please and please he did. He brought out our orders and I took pics before everyone dug in. WE all enjoyed our food. Service was superb and Dwarttis was Fabulous!! Gave a nice tip not included in the check. There was a good vibe here and I would return. I had a good experience here. Plenty of parking in the parking lot and the rest rooms were nice and clean. Have a good night, workout, be healthy, fit and Fabulous especially for people over 50 years of age.

Laquandra and Rodney provided an excellent experience for me. The food was hot and fresh, and it arrived promptly. I especially enjoyed the lemon drop that Quandra prepared. I will certainly return to this location in the future. Thank you again, Rodney and Quandra.

A Five-Star Experience at Red Lobster McDonough

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The customer service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere was inviting and well-maintained, perfect for a relaxing meal with family or friends.

Now let’s talk about the food: absolutely outstanding. The standout dish for me was the Dragon Calamari—bold, flavorful, and plated with finesse. It rivals offerings from five-star restaurants and deserves its own spotlight on the menu.

What impressed me most was the clear influence of Red Lobster’s new President and CEO. You can feel the shift—in the elevated menu, the energized staff, and the overall commitment to excellence. It’s refreshing to see a legacy brand evolve with such intentionality.

Highly recommend this location. Red Lobster McDonough is setting a new standard for casual dining.

My daughter and I went to the McDonough Red Lobster around 8:15 PM. It was not busy, so we expected normal service. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
After being seated, it took over five minutes for our waiter to even come to the table. My daughter ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and I ordered a soup and salad. We also asked if we could have the cheddar biscuits brought out with our waters.
About 10 minutes passed, and the waiter returned saying he had forgotten what our drinks were. We reminded him and again asked for bread. He finally brought our waters, but no biscuits.
I asked again for the bread. Meanwhile, he continued serving other tables. We watched multiple waitresses bring biscuits out to their tables while we were still sitting there with only water.
Around 8:30 PM, after asking again, he finally brought a basket with four biscuits. We were hungry and ate them quickly. We asked for more because none of our food had arrived yet — no soup, no salad, and no pasta — while other tables were receiving full meals.
By 9 PM, still no food had arrived. I asked for more biscuits again and was told they were “being made.” At that moment, another server walked by with two full baskets of biscuits, which was confusing.
I eventually got up and asked another waitress for bread. She tried to say there wasn’t any left, but moments later the manager came out with a basket of biscuits. At that point, after waiting 45 minutes with no food, I was so frustrated that I decided to leave. I also didn’t feel comfortable eating food from a table where service had been handled so poorly.
This was extremely disappointing. We simply came in to enjoy dinner together, and instead left hungry and frustrated. I hope management looks into what happened that night because the service we experienced was unacceptable.

We love Red lobster. We went to the one on jonesboro road. First impression no one was welcoming or at the front desk. Took about 5 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant. Once seated no waitress for first 10 minutes. Just a poor unwanted experience. Bread was excellent. Food quality Once we received it was excellent.
Took 7 minutes to bring to go boxes. Took another 10 to check out. It wasn’t busy so excuses for amount of time having to sit around. Need to do much better in the customer service department and making customers feel wanted. The young gentleman at the front helped out by at least taking our drink orders and brought basket of bread. This helped the experience and why we gave two stars.

This was our first time visiting the McDonough location.Tiffany was such a pleasure to have as a server. She was very attentive with a great personality. Tiffany treated our children with the upmost respect. She asked them about their choice of food. Instead of over looking them and asking us. The children said she was nice. Thank you Tiffany you are awesome. The manager was also very nice. He asked us how was your dinner. By him taking the time to make sure our experience was pleasant meant a lot to my family. We will definitely visit again.

I had the crispy dragon shrimp, lobster artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms for appetizer and the lobster shrimp and salmon for dinner. The bread was glazen and hot fresh out the oven I can’t remember the last time I tasted Red Lobster bread in this fashion. Kristin gave us the type of service that I remember receiving from Red as a child, I said that because I was a picky kid and everything was great. I first walked in the young man at the front was working, I love seeing young men representing themselves the way he was. I just knew everything was going to be great and it was and this was at seven at night, I know right hats off fyi this is why I still come here.

This is one of my sisters favorite restaurants. So she came into town and I suggested Red Lobster (McDonough GA) for lunch as she thought they were all closed. To make a long story short; she got sick (multiple bathroom visits) before leaving the restaurant. So other things we planned on doing we could not. She had the Endless Shrimp but she says she never gets sick like that after eating Red Lobster. She did eat the rest of her meal later that day and no issues so that was good.

My meal was the coconut shrimp (terrible, sorry) and broccoli which was a little salty but I liked it. The problem I have is with their misleading of pricing regarding their baked potato & what they consider “loaded” as it is an additional price. So to get a LOADED baked potato there is about $6.00! Comparable restaurants (Longhorn; Outback; OCharley’s; Cheddars) prices for a loaded (butter; sour cream; chives; cheese AND bacon) range from $2.99 to $3.99. So for that SAME loaded baked potato here at Red Lobster is close to $6! The way they have it presented on the menu is perhaps deceiving.

The server made a snarky remark to me as well but because she was young, I let her have that one but still informed management about it. I spoke to the General Manager (Jermaine) who told me to contact Guest Relations for further help as that’s all he could do. Interesting!

I went to restaurant today for the second time this week and was just as pleased as the first time with the staff and service. Our waitress Shania was outstanding. We had a large group of 30 people. Shania was on point with our orders and requests. She delivered FAST service with everything. The food portions were nice sizes. The manager was engaging.
