I had an amazing experience at Red Lion Café. The customer service was excellent and very attentive. They had a great variety of food options, and every one of my six family members found something they enjoyed. I ordered the cheeseburger served on a glazed sticky bun — something I’ve never tried before — and it was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Truly unique and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place!

I drove an hour for dinner at Red Lion Cafe and Restaurant in Pine Grove, PA, and it was absolutely worth it! I had the Windy City Cheesesteak with hand-cut fries, and my daughter enjoyed the Steakhouse Mac and Cheese Skillet — both were delicious. I loved the cheesesteak so much I even took another one home to share! I tried the Pumpkin Patch Apple Jack, which had amazing fall flavor, and they even made a virgin version for my daughter that she loved. For dessert, we shared the Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and Coconut Cream Cake — both were excellent. Great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Drove an hour for dinner at Red Lion Cafe and Restaurant in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, and it was absolutely delicious and well worth the drive!!! I had the Steakhouse Mac and Cheese Skillet and a Windy City Cheese Steak with perfectly crispy hand-cut fries. To drink, I enjoyed the Pumpkin Patch Apple Jack—incredible flavor! They even made a virgin version for my daughter, which she loved. For dessert, we shared a slice of Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and a Coconut Cream Cake—both were outstanding. Highly recommend this spot for great food and warm hospitality!

Where do I start? Well I was doing a job in the area and looked for a place nearby to have lunch. The Red Lion Cafe was one of them and heard a little about it so it was the choice to go to. Before hand I did what everyone else does by entering the men’s bathroom reading “reviews”. Most were positive and the negative ones made me laugh because just from reading some of them, you could tell they are people looking for handouts. Simply pathetic and it actually made me want to go there even more seeing the owner responding to negativity with exactly what happened. An owner who doesn’t allow the bs is definitely one I will and want to support, because the handout cult simply is disgraceful. Anyway this isn’t about me, the seating was quick and waitress was very polite helping out on the order. Like I said never was there so wanted something that would be just theirs. She guided me to the Red Lion cheesesteak and she did not disappoint one bit. This may be the tastiest cheesesteak I have ever had. The meat was loaded in the sandwich, along with fresh onions and peppers. The homemade family recipe for the meat sauce is out of this world. Was absolutely blown away by the flavor. I’m not even a fan of a soft roll and it went together just right. You are getting very good quality with quantity so be ready to eat for sure. Definitely will be back to get another one for sure and try something else as well. You can tell the difference in quality Red Lion Cafe uses easy. For those complaining about price you literally are getting two for one, like I said be ready to eat. This isn’t a $12 all bread and mystery meat from a fast food place. Glad the decision was made to go to the Red Lion Cafe and will be brining others with when I go back. Thanks much Red Lion Cafe

I ordered the 2 crab cakes! Came out more like crab soup? It was gross. I love crab cakes, but these were by far the worst I’ve ever eaten. Not only were they like soup, but they were cold, and had a terrible taste…kind of like a container. I let my fiancé try them and even he was disgusted. He usually will eat anything. I got soup and a salad with my meal. The French onion soup was very good! Salad was just average. We got deviled eggs as an appetizer. They weren’t bad. Mediocre for a restaurant. It’s been 20 years since I’ve visited this restaurant so we were looking forward to it…but I’m okay if we don’t come back in the next 20 years. they did remove the crab cakes from the bill and just charged me for my soup and salad which was nice.

Food was delicious. Service was great even though there was only one waitress for 6-8 tables at the time I was there. Prices were decent. Do provide military discount. Definitely have the hottest greeter that gives the greatest hugs.

Today our extended family gathered to celebrate the memory of our grandparents, and we chose the Red Lion Café. Our group of 23, including several children, came together from all over the country, and the restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating.
Melissa, our server, was truly incredible. She managed our entire group on her own with patience, grace, and a genuine smile the whole time. With so many great menu choices, we took our time deciding, but she never rushed us. She made sure every order was just right and every special request was honored.

The food was awesome!!! The homemade pretzel to die for!!!! The cherry crumb pie superb!!!! You must try their zucchini bread❤️ Prices were great! I went a bit overboard, but came back with left overs. I am from California just visiting but I will be back every time I come to town for a visit!!! It is so worth the stop
