Idk how I never tried this place since it opened last year. It’s fantastic. Very nice interior, great service, and the food is excellent. We’ve been looking for a decent sweet potato roll since we moved to the area, and we finally found it! Delicious sushi and hibachi. Even the salad was really high quality with various veggies and a delicious dressing. Will definitely be returning.

I’m a big fan of Japanese cuisine, so I decided to try the miso soup and rolls here. The rolls were incredibly fresh and flavorful! Although the miso soup didn’t have many ingredients, it was still delicious and had a very rich, satisfying taste. As a Japanese food lover, I highly recommend this place!

I ordered the Angry Dragon roll as picture along with Hakutsuru cold sake. The roll was very filling and had a nice small spice kick but not too hot. Fish was fresh as were all the ingredients. Clean place and kind staff.

The place was empty when we went in and after dining I’m confused as to why they aren’t busier.

The service was good. The prices were good. The food was good, but our Ramen bowls were a bit bland. The volcano roll was great. We also ordered jasmine tea.

Food was phenomenal! So comfortable after a long day working outside. Service was spectacular, full of energy and smiles. Music was soothing with its predictable undertones. Such a great dining experience all around.

Been here twice and the service is so good. The food is good and the vibe is chill. I am so happy there is ramen in Kamms now. Can’t wait to go back.

Came tonight for a sushi roll. Not going to lie, one of the best rolls I’ve had in a very long time. Angry dragon. Also got miso and hot sake.

This is a hidden gem. So good and yet not crowded. You must give this place a try. We had the hibachi special. Pick your meat, shrimp, chicken or just veggies. You get soup and rice and or noodles. I had the shrimp and my friend had the steak. Both were delicious. Very nicely presented. They also have ramen noodle bowls. We will definitely be back to try more. Help spread the word and help this owner stay in Kamms corner. Beautiful setting for a delicious meal with a full bar. Very reasonable prices.

Great little spot in Kamms for sushi or ramen. Plenty of seating, fresh hand rolls being made at the bar, and attentive servers! Will definitely visit again.

Red Lantern Japanese Cuisine at 17446 Lorain Avenue in the Kamms Corners shopping center, hits the mark on pretty much everything.
I arrived Christmas evening. As depicted in the movie “Christmas Story”, asian restaurants are the traditional go-to place for Christmas dinner. Not surprisingly, RLJC was busy.
The atmosphere is modern and minimalist with a warm red glow throughout. I appreciated the calm atmosphere that was easy to enjoy a conversation in.
You’re welcomed by a display of traditional Japanese Kimonos, a fully stocked bar and sushiya.
Restaurants are often “dinged” because of poor service. I cannot say enough about the great service I received. I had a waitress and a host who followed up three times to ensure we were completely satisfied.
The images are for the Sashimi Deluxe (raw fish) and the House Sushi Dinner – both in the $28.00 range.
Both dinners were presented so artfully, I hated to eat it. The sashimi was resting on spinach leaves and ice; the ice keeping the fresh flavor of the raw fish. I half expected my sashimi to jump off the table it was so fresh and delicious.
The rolls had satisfying firmness and texture and did not fall apart even with my clumsy mishandling of the chopsticks.
I highly recommend you bring the whole family for your next Christmas dinner – or any other special occasion.
