I needed some dinner on Black Friday allot of places were closed this place was still cooking. I ordered a cheese steak and a fish dinner, I was happy with everything. The food was great, I was happy with the portions and the prices weren’t bad. They so many dinners and wing flavors. I definitely will eat here again.

I’m only giving them a 2 star because the catfish was decent. Mac and Cheese is horrible. It tastes like it’s made with nachos cheese whiz or something. The greens were flavorless. My husband said they didn’t taste like they washed them.

Came in to pick up a door dash order and ended up ordering for myself since I was still waiting on my DD order. The breakfast sandwich tasted like my dad’s homemade breakfast sandwiches . They gained a new client.

I found this place by accident I drive by it daily and never gave it a second thought. Until
One day I got tired of McDonald’s and all the issues that come with it. There prices are good and competitive compared to local shops and they don’t skimp on the food! Its maybe 1-3$ more on avg then mcornalds but its worth it. Plus there menu, both breakfast and lunch are avaliable all day! Definitely found me a new breakfast spot

Pretty run down & dirty. Grub isn’t that expensive. Got the French toast platter, 2 eggs, 3 bacon, 4 slices, and grits. Grits were undercooked, chewing them made it chalky. Bacon undercooked and became chewy. Last thing, syrup was watery. Service was friendly, cooked to order that was good. $12 not bad, not great either.

I passed by this place a lot because of another store across the street. Ate there for the first time and had fried catfish, fried chicken, kale and collard greens. The food was better than I expected. The batter they used on the catfish and chicken was perfectly seasoned. Greens were seasoned well too. I spoke to the owners and they tell me breakfast was their big seller. If breakfast is better than the fish and chicken, I’m prepared to be blown away. I read a few reviews about this place…drive through takes a while because food is made to order. Expect to wait, but also expect your food to be hot and tasty. Not soggy and old. Also, the woman that gave bad service is no longer working there. I will definitely be back. Oh, and I think the owner are fairly new, so ignore older reviews about service. Food is good.

Came at the end of the day and the quality of food was not compromised at all. My husband ordered the meatloaf and I do not like meatloaf usually … but let me tell you, that was the MOST PERFECT dish cooked to perfection. I’m not good with words to describe food but it was good, okay? Just go try it. We also had the lasagna and the collard greens.
SO. SO. GOOD.
I haven’t tried everything else but I think it’s one of those places where everything they make is good. I don’t venture away from what I usually order but I’m now super curious and keen to try everything else. Will definitely be coming back.

This restaurant used to have great food. Great ribs, turkey wings, fried seafood, vegetables and breakfast foods. About a year ago, all the cooks and employees changed. Since then the food is simply terrible. I used to love the candied yams so much that I’d buy and serve them during parties and other events. The last time I purchased them, they looked like they had mixed leftover hash browns or something in with them. I’ve asked where did all the previous cooks/employees go three or four times and everyone pretends like they have been there for years and don’t have any ideas who I could be talking about. I’m talking about the 2 older African women, 1 young African man and 1 older Asian lady who has been there the last 9-10 years. Bring them back!!

I am not an expert on what constitutes soul food, but I felt something in the food that is hard to put into words. The place is under new management and the service is courteous and most importantly friendly. I had the whiting and my friend had the trout which were both tasty. The bite had a nice crunch and the fish was seasoned wonderfully. But let me be clear, the stars of the show were the side dishes. I am not a mushroom fan, but these were delicious. Not to be outdone were the collard greens which were cooked in something very savory. The mashed potatoes had a gravy that is worth mentioning. The kale was delicious as well. The macaroni and cheese is something I regret not ordering an extra side just to take home. If it did make it home it wouldn’t last long. Something tells me I need to go back and try the Turkey leg and ribs as it seemed most of the locals were enjoying it.
A return visit is in the works to try their breakfast sandwiches and wings.
However you define soul food, consider me now a big fan. You are in for a treat!
