This is an amazing spot especially if you into old school and classic cars. Tons of memorabilia..place is covered in it! Huge parking lot with great service and menu. Old school diner feel. A bit off the beaten path but worth it for sure!

What started as just a quick stop for food on a long journey, ended as perhaps one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time.
Starting with the decor. Being a car guy, it was so awesome and cool to see all the vintage signs and items all over. Even more, despite all the vintage and antique items, the floors, walls, and tables were still clean and well maintained, with no “antique store” smell.
The food was delicious. When I go to diners like these, I tend to get a standard cheeseburger. A good baseline benchmark. The burger was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked and full of that savory ground beef flavor. Juicy and moist, but not dripping with grease. The perfectly balanced fat ratio. The burger was constructed with perfect portions as well, that I was able to eat from the first bite to last without the entire thing falling apart. The steak fries were also amazing. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the outside, no overly greasy flavor. I can very tell this kitchen does a great job managing their grease and oils, and it shows through the food.
Lastly, the absolute cherry on top for my experience was Amy. From the get-go, highly enthusiastic, smiles and warm welcomes. What caught me off guard was how she approached an elderly gentleman dining by himself, and struck up conversation. That is customer service and pure genuine friendliness beyond anything I’ve ever seen. Despite, she was still quick and efficient to her duties – check on our table, bus plates, and run food, cards. She even was able to answer our question regarding the vintage gas pumps outside. The world needs more Amy’s.
A hidden gem, someplace I’ll always stop on future journeys.

The Red Horse Diner is a must stop on your way to or from Seattle on I-90. The food is great diner food, good meat and veggies are used! The drinks are solid (careful if your driving lol), service is decent (they never smile and seem to be going thru the motion, but they stay busy and provide on time service). The atmosphere is killer and the real must season to see and experience while you have a great meal.

What a cool little burger joint. I stopped here on my way to Seattle and got a burger and fries. Beef on the burger is very delicious, and from what I understand, locally sourced from Yakima! It was very flavorful, and the portion of steak fries was very generous. Good food, interesting history, and a very friendly staff. I’ll try to come back!

Went in for an early dinner on a weekday. Seated immediately and order taken quickly. Our food didn’t take very long to come out and was delicious! I had a trooper burger and it was tasty and fries were great. The whole establishment is well decorated with nostalgic automotive memorabilia. I own a ‘57 Chevy so it was very cool to come here. Wait staff were attentive and friendly! I highly recommend!

A great 3 minute detour off the freeway. Very good service and reasonable prices. Wonderful collection of signs and memorabilia. Great breakfast meats from local butcher (fattest sausage links I’ve ever seen). Lots of outdoor seating and RV parking.

I have a new favorite breakfast spot. Great spot to stop otw from EW to Seattle and the west side. Highly recommend. The food was great, the service was phenomenal. Harley was friendly an kept the coffee flowing. Then add on the memorabilia and atmosphere – it’s definitely worth the stop. Prices were good – plate size was perfect – I’m coming back and would recommend to someone looking for a trip down memory lane while eating good food. 5/5!

Traveling to Nevada we stopped about 1:30 in the afternoon and we are glad we did. The café is clean and so much to look at. The food was delicious and our waitress was great. If we go through Ellensburg again, we will definitely stop here.
