. The “Liquid Marijuana” Cocktail (No Actual Weed)
This is a popular, fruity, neon-green cocktail found in bars, which takes its name from its color rather than its ingredients.
Taste Profile: Sweet, tropical, and fruity.
Key Ingredients: Equal parts Spiced Rum, Coconut Rum (like Malibu), Blue Curaçao, Melon Liqueur (like Midori), Pineapple Juice, and Sweet & Sour Mix.
Preparation: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.
Variations: Sometimes made with Apple Pucker instead of melon liqueur for a more sour-apple taste.
We enjoyed the music choices being played along with great conversations.
They also, have a live DJ on Fridays and Saturdays.
Our waitress didn’t miss a beat and was very attentive with the eight of us.
We just made happy hour that was about to end at 6:30 PM.
Would definitely come again if I’m in the area.
We ordered the largest combo and added a few pounds of shrimp and mussels.
We went with all the seasonings (red hook special) and it was delicious!
The crab legs were a little over cooked but everything else was cooked perfectly. The head on shrimp was my favorite item in the boil. The shrimp were huge and the head held so much flavor.
We will be back next time we are in town!
The flavor on the medium garlic butter was perfect! Right amount of heat without overpowering. Just enough seasoning to bring out flavor without a gang of sodium. The shrimp and lobster were done to perfection. I’m not a huge fan of snow crab because there isn’t much to them usually, but these clusters had plenty of meat. The corn wasn’t over or under done. The gator bites were probably the best I’ve had. Perfect texture and flavor. The fried green tomatoes, yum. I didn’t care for the breading. It needed more flavor and less dryness, but they were good.
Service was a bad start. I mean, “I don’t want to eat here” kind of bad start. Truthfully, some staff seemed young and green. Nothing more training can’t fix. Young people need to learn communication and not just standing around, leaning on counters. And why are they on their phones during shift? There was a redeeming quality after we were seated, Janae (sp?) was the best! She was definitely a busy lady but she was on it. Checked on us regularly and had a great, friendly personality.
Overall, the 3 of us left full and happy. We are excited to have found a regular spot.
