Unassuming exterior. Delicious delicious delicious food. Since I moved to the US from Korea 7 years ago, I’ve never been able to find a great bunsik (분식) place. That is, until now. This place is even better than most places in Korea nowadays.

We ordered the Holic Sampler + Udon. I was shocked at how tasty everything was. The sundae (순대) isn’t the most typical frozen kind. The 김말이 is clearly made in-house. The fried dumplings were full of filling, and overall the tempura (튀김) was light and very well executed. The kimbap was some of the best I’ve had in the US, with a very generous portion of egg inside. Udon was on-point, I appreciated the addition of 쑥갓 (I wish they gave more, but many places don’t give you any). And on top of it all, this place has great prices compared to other places serving similar fare.

If you’ve never tried bunshik, or if you’re a Korean living in the US with a years-long unfulfilled craving, I would definitely recommend this place.

They recently remodeled and updated their menu so definitely stop by if you haven’t in a while! I always get the holic sampler and the udon. (Feeds 3-4 people)
They’re soondae is some of the best i’ve had! perfectly steamed, not too strong in flavor, and super fresh.

I went on a Korean food tour in Annandale Virginia visiting K-Town. Our tour guide was Mina with Virginialicious….highly recommended. Red-Holic was the first stop on the tour. The food was delicious. We had the Gimbap/kimbap (seaweed rice roll; they have 10 different types!), tteokbokki (sweet and spicy rice cakes). Dipping the Gimbap/kimbap in the tteokbokki was everything. The food was really good. I definitely recommend!

I loved everything I tried in this restaurant. The food was great! My mouth was on fire from a couple of things here and there, but I didn’t mind it at all. Everyone in my company enjoyed the food. Definitely recommend.

Bunsik—Korean for ‘snack food’—has long been a staple of Korean street cuisine, and this restaurant offers a wide variety of those classic dishes.

Everything was freshly prepared, a bit spicy, but delicious nonetheless. The tteokbokki, fried dumplings, chicken wings, jjolmyeon, and soondae were all enjoyable. I especially liked the chicken wings—they were juicy and flavorful. The gimbap was generously sized in both diameter and length. A solid spot for authentic Korean street food.

had such a nice time here with my friends, one of them who recommended red holic to us and said it was one of her family’s favorite spots! we ordered one of the platters + soup and everything was SO DELICIOUS the cozy atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was really cute as well! i can’t tolerate spice very well (embarrassingly), so this was one of the rare times i ate korean street food, which i’m glad i did 🙂 everything from the kimbap to the soup was amazing

The OG for Korean bunsik food. Have been coming here since I was a kid and the food quality and taste haven’t changed and the prices are still so friendly! The owner is also really attentive and brought me extra tissues when he saw I was blowing my nose. My go to is the sampler ❤️

We went there for the first time based on a friend’s recommendation. As soon as we walked in, I didn’t feel good about the attitude of the employee. He had a very indifferent expression and tone. They were consistently unfriendly when serving the food or bringing the check. The food wasn’t incredibly delicious, but it was decent.”

Nice korean comfort food hideaway that seats about 30 max. Good sized portions and flavorful. Plenty of parking & there is an outside elevator for handicap access. I had the kimbap & steamed dumplings.
