The Red Geranium is one of the region’s most charming and romantic restaurants and one of the New Harmony Inn Resort properties. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, the Red Geranium Restaurant offers Seasonal American Cuisine and Midwest favorites. The Grapevine Bar lounge serves wine, beer, mixed drinks, and spirits and has a Bar menu to eat inside the bar area. We have three dining rooms Main, Tillich, and the Green Room. The Main Dining Room captures the romance and Old World charm of the 19th Century. The Green Room offers comfortable benches and a cozy, casual atmosphere. Ornate hand-carved doors grace the Tillich Room entrance area with a pastoral view of swan lake. The Patio is seasonal with live music, and tables.

Well you know it is very hard for me to give 5 stars. This little restraint is quaint with a lot of old charm. There is architecture that remains from the period and preserved well. The service and food were both very good. The music was excellent- very sitting and peaceful. Definitely part of the New Harmony experience. Go and enjoy!

Nice facility and atmosphere. Outdoors had live music. The staff was great- thank you. Food was decent, a little higher priced but the quality was acceptable. We tried some drinks and the shrimp cocktail to start, then split the ribeye for two. Expect to spend 50 a person or so. The steaks was above average, and worth the drive to New Harmony. We will be back.

The food was pretty good. Very large portion of chicken fried chicken. The potatoes were very bland and boring. Eggs were fine. My Diet Coke was 4.25. No where on the menu was the price for a Diet Coke listed. I would not have ordered one if I had been aware of that- that’s way overpriced for a Diet Coke, even in this economy. The service was very slow, and a different person came to our table each time. Refills were not offered on the Diet Coke. Check took a while to receive.

Wow! Our food was amazing! I got the 12 oz steak with blue cheese. My wife, the surf and turf, bacon wrapped. Both where tender, cooked to perfection. We ate outside by the water feature which we highly recommend. The goat cheese app was incredible. Highly recommend this place!

For being located in a small town, this restaurant serves very good meals. The food is flavorful and presented well, it has good ambiance, and the waitstaff were professional and pleasant. I’ve had several meals here, and it is consistently good. I recommend the fried goat cheese — delightful.

My husband and I decided to spend our anniversary weekend in New Harmony, as it seemed like a relative safe haven during the COVID-19 pandemic. We stayed at the New Harmony Inn, so I made dinner and brunch reservations at the Red Geranium. We were so impressed by New Harmony! Everywhere we went, people were taking precautions and being so kind.
Our temperatures were taken at check-in, and everyone wore masks until seated. (Restaurant employees stayed in masks all the time.) Tables were properly distanced and spaced. Our server for both meals was Jo Beth, and she was wonderful! The food was delicious, and she had great recommendations for us when we were trying to decide what to eat.
Our meals at Red Geranium were one of my favorite parts of our visit to New Harmony; since I was pregnant during my visit, I needed to ensure extra safety during the pandemic. Dining at Red Geranium made me feel somewhat normal for the first time in a long time!

Wonderful service, delicious food, and warm inviting atmosphere. We had a quiet, romantic date night out to try this “new-to-us” restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised with how delicious everything was. We’ll definitely return and look forward to bringing guests to this gem!

It is a great restaurant. Rachel was our server. She was fantastic! Took our order quickly. Food came fast.bill was there promptly. Rachel was very nice and friendly.
