AMAZING food. 10/10. Not like the other places that literally fry grocery store garbage and call it homemade.
The house lo mein is incredible, the meat isn’t tough or dry, and the prices are really good.
The egg drop soup, also incredible, and they give you enough chips for it, you don’t run out!
The teriyaki chicken sticks are super flavorful and very well cooked!
The staff is nice and efficient, everything tastes authentic and made with care! Love this place!!!

Hailing from NYC I’ve been had a lot of Asian fast food. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have eaten at since moving to Virginia, and I’ve live in Leesburg, Gainesville and Haymarket. Been here 3 times and no disappointments so far. Really good food!!!

I’ve had some great meals from here but I’ve also had some meals from here that were just okay. Double check your order when you pick it up. Make sure you know what you’re ordering. I thought I ordered lo mein noodles as a meal and all I got was the noodles. I didn’t get any rice and they were a little overcooked. I wasn’t impressed with the spring egg rolls but I loved the rangoons. Definitely worth trying for something different but for the price I don’t necessarily think that it’s worth it.

When I have to be in Big Stone area for anything I always call and order the Hot &Sour soup and it’s is delicious everytime! The egg drop & wonton soups are great but the hot &sour is my fave. I’ve not been disappointed with anything and the staff is friendly and my order is always ready when I get there! I just wanted to add I ordered my usual wonderful hot n sour soup today as I was passing through n decided to add crab rangoons- absolutely delicious and crispy n sauce was great!! Definitely try if you haven’t!!

I was in town, visiting family when we decided to stop in to have dinner together. I had never eaten at the Red Flower Chinese Restaurant before but the family had and had never had any issues before. We arrived two hours before closing with the intentions of eating the buffet. We went in and had to seat our selves. A minute later, our server came and took our drink order and then walked off to fill it. We then went to the buffet to get a plate of food. They were low on plates, having only a couple left and had an odd mix of metal and plastic silverware. As we proceeded to move along the buffet it was quite noticeable how bare it was. Most pans were either empty, near empty, or had been sitting there for some time.
This was fine at first as we assumed that the cooks were working on fixing more. However… this ended up not being the case at all. More customers came in, intending to partake in the buffet and were promptly informed that the buffet was closed… an hour and a half before close and that they could only order from the take out menu. There were no signs stating this nor were we told this as we had our drink order taken. We were allowed to assume that the buffet was open and being refilled.
there was only one pan that was refilled and sadly… it didn’t last long as there were several families eating at the location. None in my family ate more than a small handful of food and still paid full price for the buffet. The food was good for what it was… but I’ve had better at most any other restaurants of similar types. Nothing special and not something that would draw me back in for more.
Our server was not seen often though when she did come by she made sure to make sure that we had plenty to drink. This place definitely needs to take a look at how they’re running their business. Get rid of the buffet if you can’t keep it filled with variety. Focus on take out. I do not recommend this place nor will we be back. We had to go to another restaurant afterward to actually get something to eat after leaving the Red Flower.

They are very unfriendly, and can’t understand what you say. The young woman up front is the worst. Super small portions for combination platters and no egg rolls with platters. Rice has very little meat in it, and only a little onion, no other vegetables. Chicken doesn’t seem fully cooked. It’s worth traveling to get better food. Since I moved to this area none of the people at the Chinese restaurants seem to be friendly, but this place is the worst.. no veggies or egg in their rice.

It’s a small place, but relieving in a small town like Big Stone Gap with only fast food restaurants surrounding it. It’s a small buffet, but the selection is pretty nice for what it is. The food is always good and they are quick to refill stuff when it gets low. Especially popular items like the vegetable lo-mien. The price is very good for a buffet.
