I recently visited The Red Dragon in Raleigh and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was friendly from start to finish. The sweet and sour chicken was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy with just the right balance of tangy and sweet. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and flavorful. If you’re looking for great Chinese food in Raleigh, I definitely recommend giving The Red Dragon a try!

This place has gone down hill. Been coming here for over 15 years and I believe today is the last day. I ordered a Mongolia Beef dish and before they could even bring me my water somehow it was magically made within 30 seconds of me ordering. The beef tasted spoiled and sour and was as tough as a tire. Never again.

The food was very flavorful (partially due to msg – I am unfortunately allergic to it and forgot to ask – but it does make the food better, so it was worth the spinal headache).

The scallops were a surprise hit. The beef with broccoli was very tasty. The moo shu was okay. The lo mein was very flavorful (likely where the msg was). The eggplant was also very good, but different than we expected.

Ordered delivery including an additional $20 fee with estimated 45 minute wait time. $20 fee was a little high but worth it with 2 little ones at home. After 1.5 hours, called to check on the order status and was told they would send it out for delivery “later” and there was no way to estimate when that might be. They said we could come pick it up if we’d like but the delivery fee would not be refunded. The cold order arrived 2.5 hours later complete with stale chicken (didn’t even know this was possible), and about 3 tablespoons of rice. They did offer to provide 2 spring rolls as part of our next order. No thank you.

i went and ate here with a coworker and was nothing short of disappointed- i order chicken and broccoli as it was a safe choice and i had never eaten here before and not only was the chicken still white and soggy, it had absolutely zero flavor. we went back inside and were given brown sauce free of charge, but that should have been on the food without having to ask for it. will not be returning.

Ordered a take out today and the experience was amazing. The cashier greeted to me nicely and the food was also delicious. They had extra spring rolls and I was given one for free, very generous human beings! The environment of the restaurant was also very calming. I will return again.

They filled our take out order wrong. We got home and realized it and called them and they said they can’t do anything about it. Pathetic. We paid with a credit card but they said it’s not possible to give us some kind of a discount on the credit card – they wanted to keep us on the phone for 10+ minutes wanting to debate it while our food was getting cold. So we didn’t get what we ordered and they did absolutely nothing for us – they could care less. Go buy your Chinese food somewhere else. These guys are terrible. Oh and the food was bad in the end. For example, they had very little meat in the meat dishes and the meat was poor quality. We threw out at least half our food because it wasn’t worth eating. The sooner these guys are out of business the better.

This place is disgusting. I have eaten here three times in order to make sure it wasn’t a “bad night” and I have enough data to make a review. I had the all time normal General Tso Chicken each time and it was horrible. My friend had chicken and broccoli and it was horrible. General chicken is always bland and the garlic sauce has zero garlic. It’s not saucy and they slam as much broccoli and onions as they can in the box. Even the vegetables have no taste and the meat tastes old. It’s truly mind boggling because all my ITB peeps swear by this place and I’m sorry ITB but this is gross. I know yall have better taste than this. I swear to you not if you try to eat it the next day it’s even worse. I mean it’s Chinese food like come on. I hope ITB raises a stink and bring in some new Chinese because this place is making yall look bad.

OK, I really don’t tend to write too many reviews but have to spend a $90 tonight on four entrées…I think I have to. I ordered two Mongolian beef and two sesame chicken with fried rice. The Mongolian beef did not have flavor like that I mean, truly was terrible.

Not to mention majority of the container consisted of that white styrofoam type of stuff at the bottom with a whole bunch of green onions. There was only a few pieces of beef.

The fried rice also didn’t have much flavor at all, which was very disappointing too. I didn’t have a chance to try my kids sesame chicken, but this is also the strangest sesame chicken I’ve ever seen.

Again the food, the presentation in the atmosphere does not reflect a 4.2 stars out of 600 reviews.
