We stopped in here today for the first time. Service was good and we enjoyed visiting this small donut shop while we were in Lexington.
We chose the regular glazed donut and it was pretty good. A little doughy for my taste but I think these are more like old fashioned donuts. My husband loved them and said they were the best donuts he’s had in many years.
I liked that the glaze was kind of thin and not overly sweet. I will be back to try the filled donuts. They fill the filled donuts on demand there. Filling choices I saw were lemon, cream, custard and raspberry.
Price was $8.99 for a half dozen of the regular glazed.

The donuts here are good. Just don’t order the boba from here unless you just want to drink. Watered down milk with big chunks of ice and uncooked boba. I ordered a mango boba and this photo is taken after an hour. It just melted that much. And I took a sip , But the donuts are good I think I don’t know. I just get the fritters in there okay but yeah just make this a donut shop. Don’t waste your money on the boba it’s not that good

Such a terrible experience today. 5 dozens of the Grinch donuts cost me $170.81. It’s not my first time but many times there, I always support our locals business. But this time is such a bad experience. I called and placed order with the manager there ( she claimed herself as a manager but her work order just a piece of junk), nothing came out as what I ordered and she called it as a misunderstanding. I made two times phone calls to make sure she got what I wanted. It’s so special for the kids and teachers on their Christmas party and I don’t mind to spend money because I wanted them to have the best fresh donuts in town with variety donuts they have in menu. Even the filled donuts special for my own kids didn’t even exist in those 5 dozens of donuts. It’s so ridiculous. I didn’t have much time to get them fixed since the party starting in 15 mins . That manager is not responsible on her job, gave me cheap regular donuts and charge me arm and leg.
Anyways, the guy there offered me a discount and some free donuts, he is nice enough to fix the mess up order . I didn’t want that free stuff, i just wanted to get what I have ordered for kids on their special occasions not that piece of crabs that cost me 170.81. So I decided to ordered another dozen of filled donuts for my kids as I promised them already. I guess that guy is the owner, he didn’t charge me for that box of filled donuts. Thank u though. To everyone, please be careful with the price and the donuts they gave u. That’s tricky right there. For me, the most disappointed part is all the kids at school and teachers didn’t get to eat the very good red velvet donuts, filled donuts and other special donuts they have there and they didn’t even know we have Red donuts here this good. Really sad .

I have been a customer at the Lexington store and now the Denton store. The last four times I visited the Denton store I jace purchased donuts and or Apple Fritters. Originally the Apple fritters contained Apple pie filling, as they are noted to have. The last four purchases have not had the filling as the attendant said they should. She was going to advise the bakers. As this is an ongoing issue I wanted to warn others so that the would not be disappointed.

Small shop in the downtown area of Lexington, about 40 miles from Charleston.
Donuts are freshly made and there’s a wide variety to choose from.
Some flavors are seasonal by the way. Oh! And if u want a donut that comes with filling, you can select from four different flavors: personal favorites where vanilla and lemon.
They also have specialty coffees. Their vanilla frappe was good as well.
The two young ladies that were behind the counter were friendly and knew their donuts!!

Quaint little donut shop in Lexington, NC. On-street parking. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of seating options. Clean. Public bathroom. Bathroom is wheelchair accessible. The toilet paper dispenser is a little out of reach – be prepared to lean. Prices are comparable. Pick any donut, then… pick your filling. They fill them on the spot. Delicious food, friendly staff. Fun for the whole family. They also serve coffee and have a cooler with misc. drink options. #reddonutshop

Honest review here. Went in on a whim for a quick snack with the kiddos. This donut shop is conveniently located directly across the street from Lexington Police Department… so there’s that. They offer everything from the standard hot glazed to some of the beat fritters I have ever tasted anywhere, period! We were so impressed with the selection we went home with 3 dozen donuts that we may never be able to eat our way through the end of. Every donut we sampled was amazing. The choose your own filling donuts were super cool. Strawberry vanilla, raspberry lemon, the list goes on and on. They also support their vets and do offer a military discount. I highly recommend the polite fun loving team Red’s has. Go see em. Tell them Chief sent ya! You won’t regret it.

Lovely local shop of delicious doughnuts. They have a nice twist in that they will fill the doughnut with your choice of filling…custard, vanilla, raspberry and lemon. Custard was my choice and simply yummy. You can’t leave without getting an apple or blueberry fritter. There are small chunks of apple which is a lovely change from other fritters I’ve eaten.
Staff was friendly. There are a few tables. Sitting next to the big windows is a must.
Stop in. You will enjoy it!

The young lady working in the Lexington location today did not give off a good impression. When I went to pay she automatically put a 4$ tip on my order. What she did really bothered me because she tried to do the same thing to my mom that was also purchasing. It is not like she is serving tables so whether I tip or not is my discretion. But the way she went about it was sneaky like a thief. And I don’t not appreciate that. I hope the management has a conversation with her instead of letting her think that it’s okay to automatically put tips in and try to hide it when she gives the total.

New Yorker here—these donuts are legit. Fresh, flavorful, not overly sweet, and done right. Great service and a classic donut shop feel. Easily holds its own with any NYC spot.
