The food and service are excellent. My family decided to grab dinner from here after visiting a nearby farm for fall fest activities. We ordered a few burgers, a couple chili cheese dogs and some sides(onion rings, cheese curbs and mozzarella sticks.) the food was top notch, beats Portillo’s every day of the week. I’m actually missing the food here now. The music on Sunday nights is incredible. I’d urge anyone looking for great food after a long farm day or any day for that matter to give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Food was really good, service kinda sucked. It took 35-40 minutes to get it our order (italian beef sandwich, pizza burger and a chili cheese dog with fries). Pretty sure it sat under the heat lamp station for 15-20 minutes before the server/cashier/bartender girl brought it out to us, as well, because we could see it sitting there from where we were sitting. She was busy on her phone behind the counter most of the time so it makes sense. I would love to love it but their time management needs work-maybe Santa will bring them one of those service bells for the kitchen to ring when the food is up.

This is a nice place of you like old-fashioned decor and places that have not been updated in many years I had a hot dog and fries and a Coke which we’re okay but around $10 I thought it was too expensive but everything is nowadays.

It was a great place to stop in and have a chicago dog. Only $15 and we got 2 chicago dogs combo, upgraded the fries to Chili fries and 2 rootbeers on tap. The server was really nice. The space could use a little updating but the history of the place was really cool to learn about. I’d go there again.

A Nice surprise!
Stopped here on our way back from Lake Geneva. Their feature menu item is a stuffed hamburger and I will say it was so much better than expected.
The burgers are huge. The meat is fresh, I am not sure, but I think they grind it there. The onion rings are also really good; hand dipped and battered. Great fries.
Don’t let the outside appearance fool you. The place is rustic and maybe a little kitschy, but think of it as character.

Stopped by after going to the flea markets on a Sunday afternoon. Nice local music jam going on, nice to sit outside on a sunny day. Food and service was good. They were fairly busy but kept up pretty well. Prices were fair. Cute indoor dining area and bar. Gaming machines as well.

I was born and raised in Chicago and this is it ! My Dad would be proud and I’m sure the owner Pat’s father Red would be proud too.
This is 4th generation, originated by the Grandfather selling Hot Dogs under the umbrella of a push cart.
Relaxing out door seating, on the patio or under a shade tree in the grass, on a picnic table, this is true to style of a good Chicago dog.
Two inside dinning rooms have a large menu and a full service bar for your pleasure.
There’s Gaming machines if thats your thing all sectioned off for the pandemic minded patron.
You can enter off route 12, lots of parking, going north you’ll see the Napa auto parts store, a car wash, then Red’s, all on the West side of hwy 12.
Going south its a half mile from hwy 12 where it divides, just past the super 8. DONT Confuse it with the suds dog place next door.
I’ll be back …

My husband and I came here last week Friday and enjoyed it so much we came back this Friday and so happy we did. On both occasions the food and service were perfection. The bartenders/servers were so attentive and friendly. It’s a very relaxed vibe in here which is exactly what we’re looking for on Fridays after working all week. Great food at reasonable prices, good music selection playing but not too loud. It’s nice to either sit at the bar to eat/drink, chat, watch TV. , or a table by the window for a relaxing meal. My husband had the broasted chicken dinner both times with giant house cut steak fries and homemade Cole slaw. He said it’s the best he’s had. I had the patty melt on the first visit which was so juicy and delicious. Tonight I had the Chicago dog and it was as good as any I’ve gotten in the city. On both occasions our food came out piping hot. We’ve decided that this is our Friday spot from now on. They have live music on Sundays from 2-6 and I’ve been told it’s a really fun time, so we’ll check that out soon too. If your looking for a delicious meal at a fair price in a quaint , friendly and relaxed atmosphere with efficient, kind, friendly staff, then this is the place.

Food and service were good. Seemed like most of the business is done at the bar. We were the only sit down customers. They have slots and video gambling. Many cool old antiques for decor.

Very nice ambience and beautiful stained glass lights with games and good food. I got the Bbq pulled pork with garlic toast with green beans and sweet potato fries. The garlic toast was a bit well done but the pulled pork was wonderful. My husband got the king size prime rib with a potato cake. He said it was so so. We ordered 2 mixed drinks and shared a brownie sundae desert. The total came to just under $60.
