I dropped by the Red Dock for lunch on a weekday, and I was happily surprised with the place. I found the decor and vibe of the restaurant nice and casual, and it has some of the best views of the water due to its location right on it. I’d say no other business in Saugatuck or Douglas has better views of the area. The rum punch I tried was very tasty, and the food was too. I had the tuna melt, and it was one of the better tuna melts I’ve had with plenty of ingredients. Service was good when I visited, and it wasn’t too busy. I’ll definitely visit again with some friends in tow, and I’d definitely recommend this place during good weather.

Truly feels like you’re on vacation when you’re at Red Dock, love this place! It’s a little hidden away so while it can get busy, it’s not usually jam packed like places downtown Sagatauk. I have never eaten here but the food looks solid. Generous with the pours in the mixed drinks too.

Love the vibes here! Got cocktails only. Beer is served in cans. Got a margarita with hornitos. Food menu is limited but looks good

A freaking Joke on what we had to eat. BBQ pork nachos. 19.00 and I was told yes there is pork on it… At least 4 oz I was told. Over priced and it won’t happen again. Oh manager said do I need more pork? I’ll try and make it right. So what that tell yeah… Make it properly the first time… No need to go back.

Heard about this place on Under the Radar. The atmosphere is very unique. It is right out at the end of a landmass on Lake Michigan with all of the seating on a dock. The parking lot is total unkept and the walk out to to the restaurant a little confusing. The building itself is eclectic hodgepodge of signs with a mix of slightly run down building. They like to blast their version of music, but if you sit out towards the end of the dock it’s fine. All of this somehow adds charm to this place.

I ordered the Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of noodles. I was with my Aunt who was the one who heard about this place. She ordered an Otis Sandwich. The sandwiches are baked so it takes a little while to receive. The 1st thing I have to say is the sandwiches are HUGE. My pulled pork had a ton of meat in it. Felt like 2 ibs. The sandwich was Spectacular, every last bite was super juicy. The sandwich was light on the bbq, you mostly tasted the pork and thats okay because it is amazing pork. The bread it’s served on is also amazingly good. The noodles I got were served cold and were good, but also ehh. I took home about 2/3 of it and nuked it later and it was much better. My Aunt also loved her Otis Sandwich. The sandwiches are about $12 with no side, however the sheer size of the sandwiches make it well worth it.

The service was mostly good. It was very attentive, just seemed lackadaisical. I think that’s were some people get the rude from.

Overall this was an easy 5 Stars. That was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in years. Would I return? You bet I will.

What a fun spot! So glad we found this place. Plenty of seats by the water in the sun or under cover. Lots of decorations and funny signs and photos. Like the sign says cold beer, loud music and NASTY bathrooms. Boats are able to pull up and grab drinks and eats. Staff are friendly and funny! Can’t wait to come back in a few weeks. Cash or cards accepted. Ample parking.

This place is more of an experience than a restaurant. Fitted with a tattered classic rock vibe this restaurant is literally at the end of an old wooden dock so hold your phone and car keys tight. Red dock Cafe is not for everyone. It is not geared toward a family friendly atmosphere but that is clearly not what they are going for. If you’re a hippie, biker, blue collar, patry animal, classic rocker then you will be in heaven.
Leave your credit card at home because these guys are cash only. The seating is all out doors so plan accordingly if it’s windy or rainy.

I got the Curry Rice and Shrimp. The presentation was great but there was so many things going on in the dish it actually became too much. There was a great quantity but overall not satisfying.

My wife got the Brie Salad. It had fruit, artichokes, lettuce and Brie cheese.

My daughter had a hard salami sandwich. She loved it.

This is an incredible place, we had fun. I had the hippie punch and it is wonderful. Ot was an absolutely goregous day to be enjoying toddies on the dock. They have tables with and without umbrellas, music and offer food. I had a veggie wrap and chips and it was tasty. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to get back there. You best visit before 9.24.21 as do sadly they will be forced to close permanently (owner of the dock will no longer lease to them)

The location is amazing! However the Key West vibe fell a little short for us.

-this is a bar for people who just want some cheap drinks and that’s it.

-the cocktails fell short with cheap easy ingredients and overpriced prices that don’t reflect the drink itself.

-a lot of people were having a great time with the music and vibe but again it’s just a place for cheap drinks and a good time if that’s your scene.

Great location but I wouldn’t order food here (we have before). Drinks are good but expensive and come in a plastic cup. This place is all about the atmosphere as you’re floating on the water. No drink prices so you’ll get the surprise later. They only accept cash.
