This cafe embodies some of the best qualities of a good neighbor- comfortable, approachable, and nicely accessible. I hadn’t been back to Chesterton for a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this cafe had moved next door and expanded quite a bit. Despite the added space, the cafe remains just as cozy and welcoming as I remembered. Espresso drinks were delicious, and sandwiches all had a wonderfully comforting, homemade taste.

Great spot, nutritious, fulfilling, and very clean for the body and mind.

Came for an early lunch with my wife, she came all the time when she lived here. I was very happy with the food, staff, and experience.

Tons of options for any kind of gut, craving, and person! No pictures of the food lol, we dug in right away. I’ve never had a better sandwich. And I loved how it came in a brown bag with apples!

This is the first time I’ve been in since they moved next door. The vibe is still nice and cozy, but I love how they have windows in the back in the kitchen. It makes the space seem a lot bigger.

I had egg sandwich #3 – egg, spinach, tomato, bacon (or ham) and choice of cheese on choice of bread. It was 2x the size I was expecting! Well worth the wait. I also had a mocha to go to keep me warm at the market. This place is a must-visit on market days (or any other!)

Saved me two days before thanksgiving with the most delicious pumpkin and apple pies. I got REALLY lucky with those. Don’t be an irresponsible Gen X degenerate like myself and call ahead for pies before the holiday. Then… Yes, there’s a then. I got REALLY REALLY LUCKY when, on the same trip, I snapped up the last EGG SALAD SANDWICH. As my dad Nils would say, “Wow Ben, what a treat.” (R.I.P. shout-out). It’s one of those cool places that are cool without trying to be cool. So, yeah, it’s a cool and delicious place to visit. Locally owned and operated. Honestly, I’ve never known anyone who has or is an owner or employee as far as I know.

I don’t go as often as I should because I absolutely love this cozy place. Food is always fresh and delicious. Iced lattes are fabulous.

By the register, they have a figurine that’s supposed to be Jesus, but it’s holding an LGBT pride flag. It’s hard to imagine something more offensive and blasphemous than to use the King of kings as a mascot for that. If they want to promote that political agenda, then fine. But why drag Jesus into it?

Quaint local cafe with quirky indoor seating. Really pleasant staff and service. Reasonable prices (~$9/sandwich) and a decent variety along with option to get a half sandwich with salad or soup if you’re not looking a full sandwich. Baked goods, fun beverages, and quiches also on the menu.

If Cheers was a coffee shop. The owner Laura knows everybody’s name. Great care into each order, very good atmosphere.

The perfect local cafe vibes here. I went here for breakfast with my brother (a very good egg sandwich breakfast!) and we were both impressed with the how community oriented this place is. I learned about so many cool summer events by just visiting the board at the front counter. They have rotating art on the walls that you can purchase, which I found extremely cool. This is a place where the next big TV show could be like Friends or Cheers, but the cast is quirkier and interested in garden walks, outdoor movies and art exhibits. Sign me up!
