⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Perfect Layover Oasis at MSP!
If you find yourself with a long layover at MSP, do yourself a favor and head straight to Red Cow. It’s a local Minneapolis favorite that translates perfectly to the airport setting, and it completely turned my travel day around.
The Highlights:
The Drinks: I started with their Bloody Mary, and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly spiced and garnished. I was also shocked to find Hibiki whiskey on the menu at such a reasonable price. It was an unexpected treat and a fantastic way to kick off the trip.
The Service: The hospitality here is top-tier. A huge shout-out to Spencer and the entire staff, who were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect despite the busy airport atmosphere.
The Vibe: It doesn’t feel like a typical airport bar; it has that genuine, local Minneapolis charm.
Whether you need a great meal or just a high-quality drink to pass the time, Red Cow is the spot. Highly recommended!

4:30am Had three eggs, sunny side up, two smashed beef patties with cheese and bacon on it, and tots. Delish! Exactly what I was craving after a red eye flight. I just wish I could have washed it down with an ice cold milk. Good food! Server was awesome and the cooks were awesome as well!

The double barrel burger was excellent and the service and staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely did not disappoint. This sets a high standard for restaurant quality service and food at airports; and no different than their stand alone location in the city.

Our server Rose was great al around! Quick to greet us, fast service, quick followup on drink refills and food quality. She is 11/10. We had tap beer and cheese curds (which were legitimately phenomenal). Music could have been a bit louder to ease listening to others conversations, but it was a very nice atmosphere and clean as well.

Spent 60 bucks for a steak wedge salad and this really strange ham and potato wrap… service was very subpar and the girl forgot drinks… food was so weird tasting and not fresh at all.. it was confusing because they gave you 3 menus.. The whole thing was just a NO for me 🙁

This is not the best Red Cow in rhe Minneapolis area, and the staff clearly doesn’t aspire to make it so either. The staff is friendly but it is very evident that they don’t see you as a potential repeat customer.
The beer menu apparently changes so often that they need to use small notes as a beer menu (which we found okay actually). The bar tender was unfriendly and decided not to answer any questions but refer to the waiting staff instead (he was playing with his phone).
The food is average at best even though we tried very simple dishes.
We will go to another Red Cow next time, and at the airport we will pick another option.

Eh, just overpriced airport food. Wasn’t bad but the service was just so slow.
Had the blue burger. Wasn’t that great but I was hungry so it did the trick
I guess they’re a little under staffed too so that didn’t help

Read about their award winning burgers, but it was a Friday and also read to try their fish fry. Spot on!! Four pieces of perfectly battered fried cod on a bed of endless fries. The catsup and tartar sauce had a stone ground mustard mix to it which was unique and really good. Rate to find a good fish fry let alone at an airport!!

Molly & Ethan were a great team! Breakfast & a screwdriver served fast, hot & with a smile!!! Must be the earliest bar open in the airport! Had drinks in hand by 5am. Molly was the bomb! Peace out!

I tried the breakfast burger here recently. Service was quick, and the food also came out quite quickly. The food was quite good for airport standards, but not amazing. Quite expensive for what you get.
