Mediocre Food and Disappointing Service – Potential Undercut
My recent visit confirmed what many other reviewers have noted: this place has potential, but it’s currently delivering a very mediocre experience, especially with the food and service.
The menu items I tried were distinctly disappointing. The fries were the worst offender—they tasted old, greasy, and seemed like they had been re-fried, having clearly sat out for a long time. The chicken was simply bland, and the pizza was just adequate, falling firmly into the “mediocre” category.
The service didn’t help matters. There appeared to be only one server covering the entire restaurant. As a result, getting attention was difficult; you’d be lucky if they came to your table once.
I went in hoping to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt despite the negative reviews, but unfortunately, I found those previous assessments to be quite accurate. Until significant improvements are made to both the kitchen and the front-of-house staffing, I can’t recommend a visit.

I am a frequent patron at this restaurant for a few years now, and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is always good and generous portions. They have a range of pub food to more elevated dishes. It is family friendly with a kids menu. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.
I recently hosted a shower and was so pleased with everything. The event room in the restaurant easily accommodated 30 people. I was allowed early access to decorate and set up. The buffet was wonderful with range of choices. I had multiple people tell me they will be coming back to enjoy a meal there again.
The manager Dave was so helpful and always available for any concerns hosting my event. Staff always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for a quiet dinner for two or hosting a large event.

Overall pretty good. Food was tasty, but did seem to lack a little seasoning on the burger and the ranch chicken. The fries were warm not hot, and on the greasy side. I had the schnitzel and it was tasty but the meat was tough. The perogies good but were cool in the middle. I can see the quality and care in the food, so maybe just an off night the kitchen?

My mom and I had an amazing meal today. We had the prime rib sandwich and the blackened shrimp mac and cheese.
Mac and cheese was still steaming when I put it in my to go container. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Great place. Will visit again.

This place does not disappoint! The food is absolutely amazing. I dont know why anyone would chose to eat at a chain restaurant over this place. The food is made from scratch and is so delicious. Shared the loaded fries. The hand cut fried are AMAZING! We loved the homemade rosemary bread. Ive had the brisket before and loved it. This time I tried street corn steak tacos, and they were very good. My husband had the chicken parm. He said he wants to come back.

So I’ll be honest…I was skeptical to host a 70th birthday dinner party here because of the mixed reviews on the food. However, the location and ambiance was what I was looking for. After expressing my concerns to Dave, he encouraged me to trust him and his staff…I’m glad that I did! We had 19 people and were in the back room. The place was clean and inviting. The flat bread and salad were a great start to the night. We had preselected a menu which consisted of four main entrees to choose from: chicken parm, brisket, crab cakes and chicken risotto. I intentionally asked everyone how their dish was and every person said that they enjoyed their meal (trust me, my family would not just say that). The portions were plentiful. The kids had a few choices from the kids menu and enjoyed theirs as well. The staff were very attentive and pleasant….Dave is quite the jokester 🙂 I would absolutely trust them with another event and look forward to going back for a dinner visit.

First time here and came with my co-workers. AMAZING! Everything is made from scratch and you could taste it. They have great brisket and the butter cake was oh so yummy! The portions were very generous as well, definitely worth the price. Come check them out.

We LOVE Red Cedar Grille. We’ve tried nearly all the main entrees out of curiosity and can honestly say the food is % delicious. When we find it difficult to make a choice we order a few dishes and eat family style. We bring the rest home- the portions are generous and the service is GREAT. My husband and I always have an amazing dining experience and HIGHLY recommend Red Cedar Grille.

Such a great spot in such a not ideal location! Walked in and it was very quiet but service was fast and friendly. Food is reasonably priced and fresh and delicious! The sauce on the butternut squash ravioli I would eat every day and the pasta was just the right “chew.” Peanut butter torte is SWEET but rich and unctuous — a perfect ending and can’t wait to go back to try the butter cake! All in all a wonderful experience and highly recommend for a quiet and pleasant date night 🙂
