We wanted to try this place for awhile. We had pulled pork sandwiches. I am going to be honest and say it was terrible. Although the meat was tender it was completely without flavor. No BBQ sauce, beans were pretty good. I have always believed that if you do not let people know how they are doing they never know. We will give it another try. Hopefully better next time.

Absolutely the best bbq I’ve ever had. Brisket is my go too but all of it delicious. The Carnivore plate feeds our family of 5. The price is well worth it. You will not be disappointed.
Don’t forget to try the bbq sauce. It’s all we use anymore.

After having a bend catering company close their business and contacting me literally 2 weeks before the wedding, I called Red Beard to see if they could just make the meat for the wedding. He totally came through, he made the meats and the sides… it was spectacular. I’ve been craving it everyday since !! Brisket and chicken were AMAZING. I can’t wait to have them cater our next big event.

I’ve tried this place twice now. The first time I had brisket, macaroni salad and potato salad. The brisket was phenomenal. But I was incredibly disappointed in the salads. Funky seasonings that in my opinion don’t belong.
Second time I had burnt ends and mac nd cheese. Burnts ends were extremely over cooked and jerky like, 3/4 of each piece was fat. Even coating in the bbq sauce didn’t help. Mac and cheese had what appears to be celery?? Absolutely not!
The customer service was mediocre the first time, the second time was a different woman who was amazing.
I was really hoping for amazing bbq as central oregon doesn’t really have any. But I just can’t try it again.
Hopefully it improves!

Best bbq around. Always fresh and hot food no matter what time you show up for a meal. I like the specials that he rotates with his regular food. I got lucky one night, close to closing, when he sold a whole smoked brisket that I was able to use for dinner on a night that I did not feel like cooking. Highly Recommend!!

Worst brisket I’ve ever had. Dry, chewy and over cooked. I would highly recommend going to a real barbecue place like Bigfoot or Baldy’s if you’re here in Bend. Go here if you want the most mediocre & over priced barbecue in Central, Oregon.

Tri-tip was cut in cubes and each cube was half fat, taste was a bit rancid. Had to deluge it in sauce to get it down.Potato salad tasted like cardamom, kinda Christmasy. Pineapple kielbasa beans didn’t have any kielbasa. Gal working was great though. Service was fast.

The slaw was good, but the corn salad in particular was excellent!
