When you first approach Red Barn, you naturally expect it to feel like…well, a barn. Step inside, however, and you quickly realize it’s something far more refined. The interior is eclectic and thoughtfully curated — layered, stylish, and distinctly cosmopolitan. It actually reminds me of the Lafayette Hotel in San Diego: vibrant, design-forward, and full of character.

In fact, there are moments when you look around and genuinely wonder if you’re still in Palm Desert or if you’ve somehow stepped into a beautifully styled venue in a foreign city. The atmosphere has that kind of effortless international flair. Friends questioned where they even were!

What stands out most is the feeling when you walk in. There’s a warm, welcoming energy that feels almost familial — like arriving somewhere you belong.

The musics excellent, I’ve been for 80s night on Tuesdays, country night and obviously weekends, which feel like Coachella. It’s nostalgic, energetic, and the dance floor is lit up!

The cocktails are delicious, and the servers are extraordinary — polished, attentive, and genuinely hospitable.

Altogether, it’s a place with personality, style, and a rare ability to make a night out feel both festive and effortlessly elegant. Definitely don’t miss out if you’re a local or visiting!

It’s back! Red Barn is renovated and classy! The drinks are great as they offer a handful of beers on tap. Perfect place for drinks after a concert or hockey game. Live music on Thursdays is awesome. I wish this place was a bit bigger as size affects: seating, bathrooms, dance floor size. Overall great vibes and drinks.

The Red Barn in Palm Desert just reopened after extensive renovations, and the place looks amazing. It no longer resembles the dive bar it once was; the decor is cool and funky, and it attracts a good-looking crowd. There can be a line to get in at the moment, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Inside, the vibe is lively and fun, with knowledgeable and friendly staff enhancing the experience. Overall, it’s a fantastic new addition to the nightlife in the Coachella Valley, and we highly recommend checking it out.

Red Barn Cocktail Lounge is a true desert gem!
If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with character, this is it. The drinks are strong, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is refreshingly unpretentious. Live music and karaoke nights bring the place to life — it’s the kind of bar where you can walk in a stranger and leave feeling like a regular. Great spot to kick back with friends or meet new ones. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Palm Desert!

The Red Barn is THE place to grab a cocktail with clients, friends or anybody. The Barn is chic and sophisticated with great spots to take photos, enjoy the live music or people watch. The drink list is extensive and thoughtful. We haven’t had a concoction we did not enjoy, Troy especially enjoys the Marcie’s Magic with his favorite mezcal.

Went to Red Barn last night for the first time for their Tuesday Jazz night and what a great time we had. The musicians were awesome and Joe (forgot his last name) had the smoothest voice. Our server Ava was awesome and the drinks were excellent! After the jazz set ended at 10 we danced another hour plus to the house DJ. Looking forward to more Tuesdays with the mix of Jazz followed by DJ and dancing!!

I appreciate your response, but I’d like to clarify a few points for readers. The glass was slammed after we were abruptly asked to leave, and it was not done by me. Additionally, each of us had only one drink, and we were not there to be over-served. We were simply checking out the establishment, as three out of the four of us had not visited since the reopening. With that said, the attempt to discredit my experience does not accurately reflect what occurred. Wanted to love this place, but the experience was awful.

Stopped in after dinner at Mastro’s for cocktails. Great space, great band, great energy. After about 20 minutes, without any explanation, our server told us we had to pay our bill and leave. When we asked if we could order another drink, she said no—the owner wants you to leave. We asked to speak with the owner and were told he didn’t want to talk to us.
For context, we are Palm Desert residents and business owners (two businesses local). We were respectful, spending money, and causing no issues.
I’ve never been treated this way at an establishment. Zero hospitality. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.

This is a fun bar that has been revitalized from the old red barn. New owners, new atmosphere, and a whole new feeling to it. Beware they only serve drinks. There is no food on the menu. But they do have a lot of live music and DJs for dancing at night

We had an absolutely fantastic time at The Red Barn! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting—stylishly designed but still cozy enough to relax and enjoy. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do, which made the whole experience even better.

The drinks were outstanding. Every cocktail was crafted with care and creativity, and the bartender even took the time to make a custom drink based on my preferences—which turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever had. The selection of spirits was impressive and well-curated.

What really made this place stand out, though, was the vibe. Great music, good lighting, and a crowd that was lively without being overwhelming. Whether you’re out with friends or looking for a spot for a date night, this bar hits the mark.

Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
