This is our family’s favorite restaurant in Hartford. Kid friendly and the food and service is always fantastic. Our server this past Saturday was very friendly and was very understanding when our little spilled her drink everywhere. I ordered the Berry Bliss pancakes and they were phenomenal AND pretty!

Very nice cafe/diner. Friendly and professional staff. Red Apple Cafe employs many local teenagers. Very well trained!! Try the Crab Cake Benedict. If you like crab cakes you won’t be disappointed.

A little pricey!!! Hard to mess up breakfast…. But ALL the food coming out looked REALLY GOOD!!!
Special coffee drinks were great!!! , tons of help, and it’s bigger than before with a lot better menu!!! $$$
( I like dogs , but didn’t care for someone’s little dog they brought in there sniffing around and eating scraps off the floor and it was NOT a service dog.)
And get rid of the black paint, does NOT look good. What about RED??!!!!

Love the makeover of this restaurant. Staff is friendly and attentive. Everything we’ve ordered has been good up until this morning when I ordered the country gravy omelette. The country gravy was not good at all. Not the homemade peppery white sauce and sausage you expect. It tasted like just flour and milk and thickener with some sausage pieces added in. I scraped it off the omelette and ate it plain. I’ll come back but I won’t be ordering any country gravy until that recipe has been redone and taste tested by the chef.

Local diner with a menu of diner type items you would expect: skillets, omelets, pancakes, waffles etc… Staff was very prompt with service, orders, and delivery. Place was packed to the hilt with customers with 5 groups waiting on a table. Food was very tasty and had good value for the money.
I’ve read recently how people are disappointed with the prices everywhere. Understand that this is a diner and even they are affected with the prices of eggs and proteins and flour goes up. This is still a very good value for the money spot and I would recommend them to you to try out.

The food was amazing no complaints and the service was even better. Our waitress (ally i think her name is) was exceptional! I honestly left wanting to be her friend. She was so attentive and had such a great personality. I will be back and request her every time.
