We stopped in at a local dive bar looking for some food. The locals recommended read 88 right up the road. We’re glad we obliged as our experience at Red 88 was very positive. It’s a noodle house but offers a good variety of other options including steak. We ordered the steak and it came out on a sizzling platter. It was perfectly prepared and was absolutely delicious! We’re looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

I had dinner here tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent. I tried the Spicy Crispy Eggplant, which was unique, bursting with flavor, and absolutely delicious. It was a delightful surprise! I would definitely dine here again.

Visited August 2nd..see receipt.

Before checking out Walmart in Willows I thought I would try this place. It has an Asian fusion vibe menu with some interesting choices.

I ordered the burger with avocado and bacon that came with waffle fries along with the chicken satay appetizer. The burger was cooked nicely and it tasted good. I had them cook the bacon alittle more since I like it alittle crispy. Bun was not warm but still tasted fresh.
The chicken satay is always my “go to” at some of my favorite Thai restaurants. The peanut sauce is always included in the meal. I was surprised to see on my bill that they charged me an extra 2.50 for the peanut sauce that is supposed to be included in the price. Thus not 5 stars. The owner offered to refund me the 2.50 ( i declined) but I think it’s important to have full transparency on what you are assuming is included per the menu description.

The wait staff ( including the bartender) were very pleasant and professional. The inside is clean and bathroom was spotless.

They have a full bar and have regular seating and bar seating.
They also have happy hour on certain days.

I would go again in the future if I am driving through on highway 5.

I honestly don’t know what happened to Red88, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The pho was absolutely unacceptable. The meat was almost entirely cartilage, rubbery, and had a stale, old taste that made it impossible to enjoy. Pho is supposed to be comforting and rich, not something you have to pick through and regret ordering halfway in. After a few bites, it was clear the quality just wasn’t there.

The chow mein was just as bad, if not worse. The meat was so tough and flavorless that you literally couldn’t chew through it. It felt like it had been overcooked, reheated, or sitting around far too long. No seasoning, no tenderness, no effort — just dry, chewy meat that ruined the entire dish. I ended up leaving most of it untouched because it was genuinely inedible.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I’m not a first-time customer. I’ve been here before, and I used to enjoy this place. Unfortunately, the last two visits have been terrible, both times resulting in food that couldn’t even be finished. One bad visit can happen, but two in a row tells a very clear story about declining quality and lack of care.

Consistency is key when it comes to restaurants, especially ones that expect repeat customers. When a place becomes a hit-or-miss gamble every time you walk in, that’s a huge problem. A good restaurant delivers the same quality every visit, not food that varies from decent to downright awful depending on the day.

When we brought these issues up to the servers, all we were met with were a bunch of nonsense excuses that didn’t even make sense. We weren’t trying to get free food or have anything comped — we genuinely wanted the problem to be acknowledged so it wouldn’t keep happening. Instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely, and we were still made to pay full price despite the food being practically inedible. There was no real effort to fix the situation or show that they cared.

At this point, I can’t recommend Red88 to anyone. Paying full price for food that’s old-tasting, tough, and completely unenjoyable is unacceptable. Until serious changes are made in quality control and consistency, this place just isn’t worth the risk anymore. I won’t be returning.

Absolutely fantastic place to have some of the best Thai cuisine period! This is our second time here. Our first time we came from the vintage raving event nearby at the Willow racetrack.

Today we came in with just me and my girlfriend our meal was perfect.

We had

1. Thai Salted caramel shake. Which was a sweet but not too sweet delight

2. The pumpkin Mentai fries. I don’t like pumpkin but these were fried to perfection.

3. The crab wontons were delicious.

4. Avocado cheese egg rolls were not too heavy and perfectly crispy.

5. The main dish of Udon stir fry with tofu was a savory delight and perfect. Flavors were in every strand of noodles.

6. The cream brûlée cheesecake is the perfect way to wrap up this fantastic dinner.

Overall as close as a perfect meal it can come.

Thank you team Red88 for always delivering.

Great food and very friendly service. I had gluten free drunken noodles and my partner had pumpkin curry and both were excellent. We would have loved to try dessert, but we were both too full. Ask them about the beautiful tables! They have free parking and a very nice all genders bathroom with changing station.

I recently visited this Asian fusion restaurant and had an incredible lunch. I ordered the rib-eye steak with garlic rice. The steak was tender and juicy, perfectly cooked to my liking with char. The garlic rice complemented the steak wonderfully. And our server is terrific throughout the meal. Highly recommend this place for a delightful dining experience!

Amazing spot serving an Asian Fusion menu. Food is fabulous and extensive. Spot is well done very bright and we could hear ourselves even though it was crowded. Servers were very helpful and attentive, they knew the menu and specials by heart. I’ll be happy to go here anytime. We had the Crying Tiger Steak Special, BBQ Pork Ramen, Chow Mein, and Pad Kee Mow with Gochujang Ribs. Willows does it right!

Food and service is okay. Asian fusion restaurant. Pricing is a bit higher than other restaurants in town, but their portion is good.

This is a great place to stop when traveling on I5; located in a cute downtown area. The food was fantastic and they had a great selection of quality beers on tap. We all agreed that we would stop here again.
