We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, but what really stood out was the food. This is not your typical overly sauced Chinese spot. Everything tasted fresh and well balanced.
I ordered the lunch General Tso’s, and it was excellent. The sauce was just right (not too sweet, not too heavy), and the chicken was actually crispy, which is hard to find. My wife ordered the lunch box, which came with shrimp, sushi, salad, and rice, and she loved the variety and flavor.
If you’re looking for a solid, flavorful Asian spot with a great atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend Red 88. We’ll be back.

Love this place! They have traditional Japanese rolls plus American style rolls. I usually come after work and they are so gracious to letting customers in no matter how packed they are. Very efficient the food is great. Sometimes even when I get to go they Will provide free miso soup.

I’ve been going here every month with my family because we thought we found our favorite restaurant. But recently the service has been quite questionable, this last time we visited, we were sat down with no greeting or verbal communication.
Our server didn’t even offer us any water or drinks until after our food arrived which was very odd and unusual. I asked for clarification about a menu item but I feel like this question irked the server and manager? And from then on it felt like we weren’t welcome. When they finally handed our water to us, they tossed the cups and water jug onto the table, as if they were in a hurry, though that restaurant was empty so there weren’t other customers to attend to, etc. They did the same thing to us when our check arrived, they threw the tray onto our table and it clattered but they walked away, no eye contact whatsoever. It just didn’t feel very warm and welcoming like usual. They simply took our order, brought out our food, and left us alone. No communication from the server/manager which I feel is unusual for a restaurant. No smiles, nothing.
I’ve also noticed their menu has changed/prices have increased, which is understandable in this economy, but for the way we were treated, the food just isn’t worth it. I probably won’t be returning here again. 🙁
The food was good, but it’s just not the same with the lack of friendly service.

This is my second time eating here and I’m still very pleased with the atmosphere and service. The food is soooo good, each dish has its own distinct flavor. I went once with my mom and this time I went with my parents for Valentine’s Day. The server was very attentive and helpful. We changed to a new booth a few times and he was understanding. The menu has a lot of variety, I loved going in for happy hour! So many good deals! The sushi is superb. This will probably be my go-to spot for many years. I can’t wait to try many of the dishes on the menu. Also I liked watching the cooking videos on the tv lol.

We tried Red 88 and it was ok. The rolls were good but nothing extra ordinary. They seemed to have too much toppings on them. The waiter was nice, but too attentive. He would stand there watching you waiting to help you with anything. A little off-putting. Ok place but probably will not go back.

It was my first time eating here and it was so good! I love how the sushi rolls come out on a boat it makes the experience feel more high end we ordered a bunch of rolls and the mango sauce on the Red88 was delicious as was the fried banana roll. The individual pieces on the volcano also looked like a mini volcano! I was pleasantly surprised with this place.

Everything was so tasty and the staff treats you like family. We especially loved the spring rolls, pot stickers, and dragon roll. They’re also great with kids. It’s the best sushi we’ve had in this area.

Good prices, good food. The service has always been attentive and we have never had to wait. But, it is difficult to communicate with wait staff if you want to do anything but point to the menu or give a number, even something simple like wanting the dinner combo or lunch combo was misunderstood. I also noticed that there were 2 waitresses and they didn’t seem to communicate with each other, one would ask for a drink order and go to get the drinks, then the other would come over and also ask for the drink order. But, I prefer over attentiveness to getting no service! The sushi has always been good, my husband loved the Texas roll which was similar to the Vegas roll but had steak and the hot and sour soup is excellent! Twice I have ordered Thai dishes [pad Thai and Thai curry] and I would rate both dishes as average. The curry was about 60% zucchini and 40% chicken, mushrooms, onions & peppers and not very flavorful.

I got some pretty basic rolls and the spicy crunch cali roll and crab roll were good. I didn’t like the texture of the tuna roll. Seemed too mushy. Service was okay. Gyoza was yummy. Mongolian beef was pretty good. Overall food was good just not great I’m glad some of it was 50% off.

This was a great place to eat dinner. The PQQ was well worth it. The flavors had me saying WOW, several times. I love sushi but had never had any with raw fish, I was not disappointed. I had multiple rolls of Sushi, the Shrimp Pad Tai, and the Chicken Pad Tai. My overall favorite though was the Shrimp with Mango Roll. Thk you for a wonderful dining experience. My only suggestion would maybe have a round booth table, these accommodate families with small children better. I’ll be coming back again.
