Once inside, the vibe immediately felt like a true local hideaway. Young professionals typing away, Slack messages popping, quiet conversations humming in the background—productive but relaxed, cool without trying too hard. Exactly the kind of place you want to “park” for a bit.
The service was friendly but not overly chatty—perfectly intuitive. We both understood the assignment: I needed coffee.
I ordered an iced latte with almond milk, and it was absolute perfection—smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. I also tried the pineapple coffee cake, which was moist with small chunks of pineapple and just the right amount of streusel on top. Sweet, but not heavy. A standout.
I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Atlanta who wants great coffee, a low-key place to answer emails, and the feeling that—just for a moment—you’re a local. ☕✨
Cafe de Olla, Kiwi Lima, Horchata Chai, Flat Whites, Lattes, are all perfect. Truly the best coffee in the area❤️
I drink a lot of coffee, and this might be one of the best lattes I’ve had in Atlanta. You can actually taste the flavor notes — smooth, rich, and beautifully presented. It honestly took me back to some of my favorite coffee shops in Kenya, where the flavor really speaks for itself.
Customer service was just as impressive. Cheers to Sasha (I believe that was her name) for the warm welcome, and to our barista — whose name I didn’t catch — for crafting such a delicious latte.
Highly recommend this spot, whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or meeting someone to connect. In Sweden, we have a tradition called fika — slowing down to enjoy coffee and conversation. This would be the perfect place for that.

Overall, if you have not been you NEED. to go. It is so special and they are really doing something good.
The Chai Latte is very strong and easily keeps you up the whole day. Truly a great drink. Overall, would recommend finding and visiting!
Clearly a space that has been curated with intention and love. Will definitely be back.
Even as a pop-up, you can feel the heart behind the brand. The team is friendly, intentional, and clearly passionate about creating a space rooted in culture and memory. The concept highlights the stories of immigrant families and living in the south through cafe and tragos. Ivan highlights and features exceptional Mexican coffees, so be sure to ask him for a little more detail on what’s in your cup. Can’t wait to see the full vision come to life — but for now, this patio experience is already a vibe.
UPDATE:
Effective Nov 20 2025 Recuerdos is now open in their permanent space that they share with Bar Ana underneath El Ponce! Same great coffee. Even cozier vibes. Lots of plugs for laptop work or phone charging. Beautiful ceramics!
