As implied by its name, meaning “nook” or “cranny” in Spanish, Recoveco is an intimate spot with an open kitchen and a rotating menu dictated by products’ best availability and taste. A carefully selected list of wines and unique beers complements an intentional and dynamic menu.

We went here on January 24th 2026. There were 3 of us. I will simply parrot much of what has been written about the food and offer a couple of criticisms. Yes, the food is remarkable; nearly all of it. We had 2 apps: radicchio salad and liver mousse. Both fantastic. Of the 2 entrees, the pork chop was a winner, the lamb pasta was just OK. In between apps and entrees we ordered the beet and tangerine dessert as a “palate cleanser” of sorts. this was a great idea and one that the employees there said was always a consideration but no patrons had dared try. i must say it was a winner. i did feel as if the wine selection by the glass was wanting. the malbec was dreadful so I took the bordeaux, which was just OK. the seats are hard wood and could use some cushions. the noise level increases as the evening wears on, likely because everything in the space is concrete and wood. generally, however, this place lives up to the many fine reviews and is as expensive as you would expect in today’s miami dining scene.

I have been wanting to try Recoveco for a while because of all the glowing articles and 5 star reviews. I was finally able to on Valentine’s Day, when I was surprisingly able to get reservations only a few days before. The decor was modernly simple, but with somewhat uncomfortable chairs. Service was pretty good overall. We were seated pretty quickly and the staff were very attentive, but the food took about 30 minutes to be served, so they lost a point there. We had high expectations for the food but unfortunately, we were disappointed. We had the pork chops and the chicken and they reminded me of food in Europe, which can be pretty bland. Definitely nothing special, especially for the premium prices charged. We have had much better chicken and pork chops at other restaurants, that were more moderately priced. The drinks were limited to only beer and wine. The restaurant is located behind Salty Donuts, if you’re familiar with the area. Parking can be a bit difficult to find, unless it’s after business hours, and you park in one of the business parking lots. We were left a bit puzzled by all the glowing reviews and articles. But maybe we are just used to the much more flavorful food that you can get in Miami.

An unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is refined yet inviting. Service is flawless — Julian was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.
Each dish feels like a work of art, balancing flavor, texture, and presentation beautifully! The rose wine was delicious and my husband got the beer (from Doral) and he loved it. The desserts are also incredibly delicious.
I got the grouper which was amazing and my husband got the pork with the mamey sauce. I dont like pork or its texture, but my husband really liked his dish!
Everyone needs to experience this at least once. 10/10.

The food is exceptional as many reviews have testified but what made the experience extra especial was the interaction with our server, Julian. What a pleasure to be guided by someone so knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. That’s proof that a good server can be the highlight to an already very well stablished restaurant. Recs: must tries for us would be the green papaya salad and best seller chicken main dish.

Easily one of the top restaurants in Miami, most memorable meal I’ve had in quite some time. Everything was phenomenal but the stone crab special stole the show. Highly recommend to all !

We had stone crab to start, and grouper and golden chicken for entrees. The food was so underwhelming that I actually apologized to my date and asked if she wanted to go somewhere else for dessert. She decided to try the two desserts on the menu, and we were blown away, especially the guava ice cream paired with some sort of matcha lava. The combination of flavor was world-class, creativity at its finest. Huge thanks to whoever crafted that piece of art, truly ending our night on a high note.

I’m excited that a fine dining restaurant is walking distance from my home. The staff were kind to me as a solo diner. Whereas many restaurants these days won’t offer reservations for parties of one, they not only took the reservation, but also messaged me to see if I was OK sitting at the chefs counter or if I would prefer a table. Like Michelin starred Boia De, they offered me ½ portions of appetizers so I could try more of the menu (I did not have to ask for this, the waitress spontaneously offered). I found the food well-prepared and elegant. Great flavors with simple presentations and preparations. The lime leaf infused ganache on the dessert was the most novel thing I’ve tried this year. I look forward to my next visit.

I’ve been living in Miami for 13 years, and there are very few restaurants I go back to more than once. Reco Veco is one of those rare places I return to again and again.
It’s one of my favorite spots to bring out-of-town guests because it feels truly unique. I love that the menu changes seasonally, which is something I really appreciate. After a while, I got burnt out on a lot of Miami restaurants where the menus never change and nothing feels exciting or new. Reco Veco is the opposite of that.
The flavor profiles and combinations are outstanding, creative, thoughtful, and always surprising in the best way. I can be pretty particular about food and this place hits every single time without fail. The service is impeccable, the food is genuinely extraordinary, and it’s a place I always look forward to coming back to.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for something special and consistently excellent.

Recoveco is just exceptional. Every bite is beyond delicious and perfectly executed. To me, this place is one of Miami’s best hidden secrets a true hidden gem. Every dish is crafted with so much creativity and love for flavor.

We had the pleasure of dining at Recoveco with a group of four and decided to explore the entire menu — and it did not disappoint! The chicken liver mousse was incredibly smooth and flavorful, perfectly paired with star fruit, which added a refreshing, tangy contrast that elevated the richness of the mousse. The grass-fed beef tongue was another standout — it was my first time trying tongue, and I don’t think there could have been a better introduction. It was tender, deeply savory, and expertly prepared, showcasing the kitchen’s skill and attention to detail.
For the mains, we shared the wagyu ribeye, which was nothing short of spectacular — perfectly cooked, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a rich, buttery finish. The snapper was equally impressive, delicately prepared to highlight its freshness and paired with flavors that complemented without overpowering. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and the service was equally impressive — warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive.
Recoveco delivers an exceptional dining experience that combines creativity with comfort. Highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their culinary game!
