Inspired by the Whiskey Rebellion of 1792 – 1794, Rebellion was established in Washington, DC in 2014 by two friends and United States Military Veterans who wanted to combine American history with two components of American culture – food and beverage. Since 2014, Rebellion has expanded locations, its team and whiskey selections, but what has not changed is its love for bringing people together for new and shared experiences over food and beverage.

Where do ai start? From the time that I entered till the time that I left it was a Five star visit! The food was phenomenal!! I use that word with the upmost compliment! My wife had The Rebellion without the Cheerwine BBQ sauce but was awesome!!! The Mac-cheese was meh! My Son got the Mad Max and it was awesome but he said my pulled pork was better! Not to toot my own horn but, it is pretty damn good!! He also got the Mac-cheese and also said meh! Now, this is where it gets interesting! I ordered the Chicken Tenders and let me tell you this! These were by fare the most tender most delicious Tenders I have ever had! I almost thought I had white fish by the way the chicken pulled apart! I had the Korean sauce and the double dipped Buffalo sauce! Outstanding!!!! I also got the waffle fry’s and the Crispy Brussels sprouts with Parmesan sauce and cheese! OUTSTANDING!!!! 10/10!!! If you love Brussels sprouts then you will love these!! All and all The Rebellion in Wilmington is definitely a must go to if you want flavor to burst in your mouth!! Please, please , please do not skip this restaurant! The ambiance is also phenomenal!!

I was going to give service a 10 if I could! Wow what a delight it is to see that superb customer service still exists in this crazy world. The owner took amazing care of us old women by providing us with barstools with back support…how did he know lol. The bartender was courteous, gave great food suggestions and was so sweet.
I heard good things from coworkers and boy they were right. The food was amazing. The nachos can be shared easily with up to six people. No joke…and the wings, the wings are cooked to perfection…get the barrel ones…. so good. The ambiance in this place is VERY WELCOMING. I will be back and this place will be my new go to.

Well, that’s it. I’ve got a new favorite Wilmington restaurant. We were recently invited here on a Sunday for lunch with our friends. From the outside, I didn’t know what to expect but when you walk inside, this is a very nice clean family, friendly environment.
Weight staff was friendly waiter gave us fantastic recommendations. Plenty of refills plenty of attention, even though she was very busy.
We ordered the mac & cheese appetizer definitely a 10 out of 10 would recommend especially if you’ve had just a little bit too much to drink that could go very well as it’s Own meal. Also got the smoked wings with the Korean hot honey sauce. Sauce was fantastic. Wings were smoked very well. I did however feel like there was a little extra liquid smoke maybe in the sauce? They just felt a little too smoked. Still very good eight out of 10. My wife got the rebellion burger, juicy flavorful large serving 8.5 out of 10.
Overall, it was just a great experience and I’ll probably become my go to place!

WOW! My experience at Rebellion NC was probably the best I’ve had at an NC bar/restaurant. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is warm and exciting, and the service is excellent. Prices are super affordable. I had ‘Its a wrap’ and the chicken finger appetizer. Highly recommend!

The Rebellion in Wilmington is such a cool spot. The liquor selection is honestly insane and they have a huge variety of beers on tap so you can always try something new. The TVs are crystal clear and placed everywhere which makes it the perfect place to watch games without missing a thing. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun, and super easy to enjoy whether you are stopping in for a quick drink or hanging out with friends. Definitely a go to in Wilmington.

Pork belly and giant pretzel were awesome. Pretzel was hot and soft and the cheese sauce was unique and delicious. Not crowded when we arrived but service was looking a little harried. Nice guy. Old fashioned were smoked, yum. We maybe set our expectations a little high because of all the fantastic distilleries we also tried in the area. Love the name!!

Bartenders are personable and knowledgeable. Great selection of tequila, bourbon and whiskey. Try the pretzel and nachos won’t be disappointed or leave hungry either. Cool spot. Tyler was Saturday 12,13,25 had the chicken fingers they were terrific. Thank you for the recommendation Tyler we appreciate what you do. Brandy we appreciate your hospitality and great service as well.

Can definitely be described as a sports bar, as there are TVs everywhere and every football game was on Sunday afternoon. However, we went for the food and we were very happy. Delicious Cuban sandwich with crunchy waffle fries. Great beers on tap! Very friendly staff and excellent service!
