First time here and both my fiancé and I loved it. We went for my birthday and really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was clean and historic. The staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed martinis and habanero bourbon drinks: delicious! She ordered the steak frites and I got a burger: both were delicious! We will definitely be back here and even maybe as soon as this Saturday for their brunch!

We had a reservation for 2, but upon walking into the restaurant, no one greeted or acknowledged us. About 5 minutes went by and we noticed a sign that said “Host” pointing upstairs, so my husband decided to take a peek upstairs when finally the initial acknowledgement came from a bartender who rudely called him out and told us to “read the sign” saying there was a private event upstairs (this “private event” sign was not obvious). They could really use friendlier bartenders and a host stand.

My wife and I have been wanting to enjoy this establishment since the announcement of its opening! Being huge Hellz Kitchen fans, Declan was one of our favorites! First, the atmosphere and feel of the place is very inviting and chill! We were a bit thrown off; walking upstairs, we saw it was empty, while the first floor had a few small tables available. When we walked upstairs, the host sat at a table and asked us if we had a reservation; we advised no; when we called a few months ago, they told us they were strictly walk-in only since it was such a small place. But we thought it was odd since no one was sitting at 5:30 pm. He told us they were reservations only, contradictory to what they told us when we called initially, but that was fine. We walked downstairs, and Alicia got us situated quickly and was super attentive. The beer selection made my wife happy, and the drinks we saw at the bar looked delicious.
We started with the smoked wings, which were perfect, moist, fall off the bone, and flavorful. I would stay if I had a critique; the sauce was divine, but it was thin and too much; a little thicker and less would have made less like it was in a soup of sauce. Then we ordered the Ramsey Bolton burger; it looked fabulous but aesthetically mismatched! It had two small patties that didn’t match the bun size, and only one had cheese. I think for a “Ramsey” named burger, the taste and jam were delicious, but the burger patties needed to either be smashed to fit the bun size or made into one larger burger! The cook was overdone, and they put mayo after asking it be made with no mayo. They brought it back with a new bun, but after sitting and being well done, it was dry. I ordered the salmon with risotto, and I chose to have the Brussels sprouts instead of the mixed veggies. The salmon was glistening, moist, and very tasty; the sauce, I think, should have been placed under the lemons, keeping it on the fish and not losing it all to the lemons when you removed them. I didn’t see any grill marks; it almost felt fried in a frier with no skin, but it was still delicious! The risotto was perfectly cooked and rich with flavor, keeping you returning for more. The Brussels were just yummy, flavorful, well-cooked, sweet, and savory. Overall, it was a great experience, and we are happy we got to enjoy a meal here! We would come back and try something different next time!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. I sat at the bar and was greeted by very attentive and friendly bar staff. Ordered buffalo cauliflower as an app. It was delicious; spicy with hints of vinegar. The dipping sauce it came with was not needed! We also ordered a BLT with side salad and fish tacos with fries. Both entrees were so delicious. The bacon is the BLT was so incredibly thick and tasty. The fish tacos were so delicious and the green sauce it came with had a hint of spice and was so tasty. The fries were so good, too! I was so incredibly impressed with this place! I will definitely be back!!

We stopped in to Rebellion while exploring historic Leesburg. We were greeted by a bartender and the manager as soon as we walked in. We sat at the bar and the bartender gave us a little history about the building while we decided on drinks. They offered multiple samples as we were deciding. The bar was clean and the food was delicious! I got the rebel yell and my boyfriend got a burger. Both items came out quickly and tasted delicious. They have a full bar so we both got several cocktails. This is definitely a great spot, especially if you’re looking for some historic charm in a beautiful building.

First impression was not good, because there was a dirty appetizer plate on the table. No silverware, nor any of the usual condiments, i.e., S&P, sugar, splenda etc., on the table. We had to ask for utensils. When the food finally arrived, it was barely warm. I ordered the fish tacos, which according to the menu, were to come with an arugula salad. In addition to the cold tacos, it arrived with tortilla chips and a side of guacamole and a green sauce. When asked about that, we were told the sides had recently changed and the menu hadn’t been updated to reflect that. However our server should have shared that information when she took the order. Our server only checked on us once, to ask if she could remove any plates since we were close to finishing our meals. The food itself was good, however I doubt we will return nor recommend Rebellion.

My bf and I are always on the look out for good food that is open late. I tried to call and make a reservation but their phone lines didn’t work. We were assured that because of the nature of the location being in a historic building some things aren’t as functional as they should be but they are working on it. But before I found that out I got worried that maybe they aren’t open or shut down so I called the Frederickburg location and they let me know they don’t take reservations and are indeed open. We decided to just hope that they weren’t full and show up. They did not disappoint! The waitress was attentive and very helpful. The food was sooo good. The chicken wings were super yummy smoky and the cheese plate was the best cheese options and the steak frites was perfection, and omg the BURGER!!! Say yes to all of it!! The other thing we love is cigar bars which are very hard to come by in our area. That would have been amazing of they had their cigar bar open. The place looks very nice inside and was popping. The upstairs which was tiny is the just dinner spot. The bottom floor is a bar. Thank you we love this new spot! We will be returning soon!

If you’re a fan of a great Old Fashioned, this local spot is a must-visit. They’ve mastered the balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern technique, creating a cocktail experience that’s truly unique.

I ordered my Old Fashioned smoked—and I highly recommend doing the same. Ask your bartender which wood they recommend based on your preference. I went with peach wood, and it added a warm, subtly sweet layer that elevated the entire drink.

The attention to detail, the personal touch, and the love they pour into their craft (pun intended) really set this place apart. It’s not just a drink—it’s a moment.

Support local. Sip slow. And definitely get it smoked.

My husband and I decided to give them a try tonight and do take out. I got the “Herb Gnocchi” that was supposed to have Basil Pesto, Tomato Sauce, Ricotta and Shaved Parmesan. It only had Tomato Sauce (all other ingredients were left off which might have made it have taste), $21 for a bland meal. My husband got the Baked Salmon with “creamy” Risotto. The Salmon was very small, over cooked and the risotto was gritty (not at all creamy). Last, we got the Nachos with shaved “Ribeye”. The nachos were LOADED with guacamole (which we hate and was never mentioned in their description) and the “Ribeye” was gray in color, no seasoning and very, very dry. Overall, it was a throw away meal (literally) and cost us $88 for 3 items that were overcooked, over priced, and bland as they could be. I would not recommend this place.
