I’m tore between two different ways to describe this place, so I’ll use both.

First, it’s like your best friend is a top rated chef and he invites you over for dinner. Great food and a casual atmosphere.

Second, it’s like Anthony Bourdain, Gordon Ramsey or any other top chef decided that money wasn’t a priority. That the important thing in life is to put the best good that you can in front of people for the pleasure of watching them enjoy it. Plus doing it all in the smallest venue possible to add a personal feel to the meal.

Everything was spot on, the food was probably the best meal I had on the big island. I’m staying at a “4 star” hotel and this food makes theirs look and taste like garbage.

My next time on big island this will be my go to dinner spot. If you don’t try it then your missing out. It a small place so if you pick the wrong time of day you might have to wait a while. Id suggest an early dinner or late lunch.

As they say on the islands, the grinds broke da mouth bra.

Ordered the burger with Pepperoni fries, and Fish sandwich and slaw. Flavor!! Quality ingredients!! This place does NOT disappoint. Only problem you will have is picking one thing, because you will want to try everything

Da Kine and Da Shroom burgers in this small kitchen and bar decorated with amazing art is just what we needed to close out the trip. Top quality ingredients. How a burger ought to be made. Delicious and cold beer. Pepperoni garlic fries were a hit as well.

Do not miss the sauces. The ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce aint yohr grandpappys condiments. These have character, distinct flavors, and will rock your socks off. I will be buying some to be shopped to Ohio. Best ketchup ive ever had.

Stopped in for a late lunch (or early dinner). Everything looked amazing on the menu. Had Chicken Fajita Wontons, coconut curry ono and shrimp (pictured) and the lomo saltado. All three were excellent. The house made sauces were great as well! The wontons were creative and well done, the lomo was delishous, with super deep flavors. And the curry dish with shrimp and fish was executed perfectly (the cook on the shrimp and fish was spot-on)! The place is clean and well kept. Staff is friendly, Leigh was amazing and switched up the TVs so we could follow the home team!

We will be back and highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat!

I don’t usually post reviews, good or bad, but I use them all the time to decide on where to eat, to buy a certain product, etc. Shame on me. Not this time. We decided to eat at Rebel Kitchen bc of reviews. I have to chime in. These burgers were A-MAZIIIIING!!! And Nicole was wonderful. Attentive and made great suggestions. My husband even bought a hot sauce and he’s fairly picky about his hot sauces. We have another week on the island. We may just have to go back!!

Our food was really great. I love the pineapple coleslaw. It’s a really cute place with only a few tables. I felt the service was pretty bad. Servers seemed rude and took a long time to greet us. They have a sign on the door saying they are understaffed so to expect slow service, but there were two servers and three tables when we were there (not understaffed). I have a feeling this attitude issue is the bigger problem over staffing. The food really is good though.

Update: The coconut curry is the best dish they have on the menu! Delicious.

Unique food, very tasty. Soup of the day was gumbo which was great. The jambalaya is different, but I enjoyed the spice. Wouldn’t order it again. My husband loved the seared Ahi plate.
