I ordered the Carolina Classic—their all-star, go-to chili dog masterpiece loaded with hearty housemade chili and that perfect tangy slaw—and it was absolute perfection. The best part? They grill both the premium jumbo hot dog and the bun, giving it that irresistible smoky char and slight crisp that makes every bite sing.
One bite in and I was instantly transported back to the old downtown vibes of a certain legendary joint that rhymes with “Sandy’s” (you know the one—RIP to those classic runs!). This Carolina Classic nails that nostalgic, proper Columbia fun: think tailgating at the Three Rivers Music Festival, chilling on the Riverwalk, and just soaking up those carefree Midlands good times. It’s messy, it’s delicious, and it’s exactly what this town has been missing.

My family and I ate here on 2/28 around lunch time…establishment was clean, customer service Kinsely was super nice, great hospitality, always a huge plus when restaurants have vegan options…we ordered the vegan carolina classic, it was really great, hot, fresh, well made! Hotdog definitely 10/10,vegan chill slaw vegan protein!

Tried a little variety of their dogs since it was my first visit. Surely not my last. Has the Nacho dog, Jalapeño Dog, and Mac and cheese dog. All were very good, great flavor, chili was great, loved the grilled buns.

Never knew a simple hot dog could taste so delicious. Very good tasting dogs. The toppings are fresh, the hotdogs are cooked pretty well. Love the flavor. They have several options and combinations to choose from. Customer service was pleasant and very suggestive I appreciate that part of the experience. Overall it’s a small yet, inviting spot to get a quick bite to eat.

This place is an absolute hidden gem. You can tell right away it’s a small business that actually cares about what they’re serving. The hot dogs were cooked perfectly — great snap, super flavorful, and loaded with fresh toppings. The buns were soft but didn’t fall apart, which honestly makes a big difference.

Rebel Dogs in Columbia, SC is hands down one of the best food experiences I’ve had. When I say the food was amazing, I mean way beyond any hot dog spot I’ve ever tried. The quality is top tier across the board.
The mac and cheese was a straight 10/10, the chili was a 10/10, and the baked beans were a 10/10 as well. The Cowboy hot dog and the Classic were absolutely off the charts, and the potato salad was immaculate—clearly made with care and not just an afterthought.
On top of the food, the customer service was outstanding. Kensley was nice, caring, and very knowledgeable, with the perfect personality to be the face of the restaurant. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their people.

Quant little spot for lunch or supper. The place is nice, neat and clean. It’s family and locally owned. They are super nice and the dogs are amazing. We had the Carolina Classic, Pimento Chili Cheese and the Jalapeño Popper. We had the potato salad, baked beans, and mac and cheese. Gah ley it was good. We are planning to come back tomorrow to try some more from the menu. They all look and sound great!
