Not your usual smash burger or restaurant. This is actually a good truck that sits at Hi-Wire brewing and benefits from a great relationship together.
Order from the window and you’ll notice the best deal going with a Rebel smash burger, fries and a beer for only $12.50! You receive a chip to turn in for a beer at the Hi-Wire counter inside for the beer of your choice while your meal is prepared.
The burger is a grass-fed beef smashburger and the Rebel fries are fried in addictive beef tallow. Global flavors made with local ingredients. You can taste the turmeric and spices on the burger that makes it so delicious.
Parking lot was pretty full but there was plenty of seating both inside Hi-Wire and out.

My husband and I love elevated, high quality takes on classics. So, we were super excited to try Rebel Burger. We were willing to pay the higher prices ($12 for the burger, $6 for fries, and $21 for the burger, fries, and drink combo) but were disappointed and taken aback to find that we were charged a mandatory %18 staff appreciation fee! This fee is not clearly listed anywhere on the website and, because we used Apple Pay, we didn’t see it until our order went through and we were taken to the receipt screen. For our order that came out to $7 extra for carry-out service that didn’t even include a confirmation email, common pleasantries at pick-up, or labeling the different items we ordered.
It’s also not clear from the site that the restaurant is a food truck. It was raining when we went so we were bummed to find that our options were to eat in the rain, eat in the car, or take our food back to our hotel.
The food was solid. We both liked the burger which had a more unique and Middle Eastern flavor profile than your average smash burger. The fries, unfortunately, did not hold up to the 8 minute drive and were cold by the time we got to eat them. I liked the spiced fries with the rebel sauce but the plain fries were not even salted and tasted like cardboard.
There’s potential for this place to be a cool experience however, the forced gratuity for lackluster service and non-existent ambience made this place a dud.

Order online and skip the line.
The burger was a sloppy wet mess and INCREDIBLE. you’ll need both hands, all the napkins and a drop cloth to get through the double patty with cheese, but it’s worth it. the pickles are super tasty (i’m guessing homemade?) and the sauce flows abundant. the bun is absolute fire and the patties are juicy.
The fries are excellently and $6 for GIANT bag and tossed in cumin(?) which was an interesting take. i may ask next time to get them boring with only salt, just to compare.
my order came with a side of sauce, which was delicious, but not your typical mac-sauce dupe. it’s closer to a curry mayo and thicc. while tasty, it will stain your nails and clothing, so proceed with caution.
the burger & fries was on the pricer side, at $21 excluding tip, but it’s restaurant quality food.

This is such a cool concept! I enjoyed their burger and fries at Hi-Wire Biltmore village in Asheville and look forward having them deliver to me next time I’m at the Whale Outpost in East Asheville.
Thank you to the team for making it such an easy process to order. Will enjoy again soon!

Brought my wife to Asheville for our 14 year wedding anniversary, and we were referred by our hotel front desk that this place was the best burger spot in Asheville. Well we decided instead of having a fancy steak dinner, we decided to hit this spot up. Besides the fact that it was a few mins before closing Brie & Meeka took our order and all I can say is, it’s the BEST FREAKING BURGER! The amount of flavor is out of this world. Thank you Brie & Meeka!

Got delivery from Rebel Burger and was THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED! Love that they have a “spice less” version of their burger and fries as well as the more heavily spiced versions – that way everyone in our house can order. The burgers? Insanely flavorful. Maybe the best burger in town! Fantastic flavors at a reasonable price, will definitely be ordering again. Sorry I don’t have any pics – we ate them too fast!! But they arrived to our house looking virtually just like what you see coming out of the restaurant. Definitely better quality than a lot of delivery foods!

I never, ever post a review, but this is an exception! Rebel Burger has absolutely one of the best burgers I have ever had! And the fries are amazing as well! The online ordering is great too. Do yourself a favor and get a Rebel Burger and a Hi-Wire beer! Bring your dog! And, there’s a Monday night special that is crazy cheap!

This is a true gem of a food truck. If you’re looking for a classic flavorful Burger… this is the burger of all burgers. They have achieved the simple yet complex deliciousness of a traditional cheeseburger. I loved it and I’m not a big red meat eater! I also love that these are grass fed cows. The seasoned fries were also stellar! I wish I had pictures but we ate it too fast! Will definitely eat there again!

Everything was amazing!! Honestly best burger I’ve had in a long time. The cabbage wrap is way better than lettuce wrap burgers I’ve had at other places as it really holds up and is so fresh.
The burgers themselves were cooked to perfection and ideal thickness (thin but not too thin). Pricing is fair and not over the top especially in this economy.
The spices on the fries + the crispness, the house made spicy mustard and the spice on the burgers themselves is amazing!! Truly unique flavor for a burger and it works.
10/10 keep doing what you’re doing, we left no crumbs, literally!
