I ordered delivery twice from here so far and it’s delicious and authentic! I’m obsessed with the mango sticky rice fresh manila mangoes and that coconut sauce is so good like buttery tasting. Love the lime chicken, my bf loves the pork chitterlings. The tiger cries sauce is so good..tangy and mildly spicy. Pad thai is great and I like the spice levels. Great service as well 🙂

I ordered Pad Thai with tofu, Crab Rangoon and the banana sticky rice. The Pad Thai had a spice level of 1-5, lucky I only did a 2 because it was fire! And I like spice! The Crab Rangoon was probably the best I’ve ever had. I was not a fan of the banana sticky rice because it had raisins and I’m not a fan. Otherwise it was great! Friendly and fast service, I did take out.

I recently had dinner with friends at Real Thai Restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience. This is truly one of the best Thai restaurants in Chicago. The restaurant’s name lives up to its promise of authenticity, offering incredibly genuine and flavorful dishes. The ambiance and service were excellent as well. I highly recommend Real Thai Restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Thai dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

Just try the small sections of authentic Thai dishes in the menu. It’s pretty good for authenticity. Seems to be food on point now after many times I have eaten here since they open. I think I trust papaya salad with crab or with fermented fish in this restaurant the most. Elements of flavors are just right. Sweet, spicy, salty, sour, and not too overwhelming fermented flavor. Pair with sticky rice that makes this salad top shelf. Mussel Cake is pretty good as well. Not much of the mussels but pancake really crispy and flavorful. Still BYOB

Real authentic Thai food!
Everything is so delicious. The restaurant is clean. The service is superb.
I highly recommend ordering from secret Thai menu. All dishes are flavorful.
We got papaya salad with crab and fermented fish sauce. It’s spicy and umami.
Crispy mussel pancake is my favorite dish. I order every time when I visit there. It’s crispy not oily and it comes with sweet and spicy sauce. My son love tiger cry with sticky rice. He finished this dish my himself!! It’s grilled beef with spicy tamarind sauce. The last dish that we got today is grilled pork with sticky rice. The pork is well marinated. It’s also yummy. We love every dish.
The price is reasonable.
I highly recommend if you’re looking for Thai authentic. This is one of the best.

This is one of the Thai restaurants that truly preserves authentic flavors. The dishes are incredibly delicious, especially the corn som tam (spicy corn salad), beef tendon tom sab (spicy soup), and the refreshing lemongrass water. I highly recommend it as one of the best Thai restaurants you must try!

Soup was a bit small for $10.
Pad Thai wasn’t all that.
I would like to go again and try some of their Curry.

I was pleasantly surprised with my takeout from Real Thai. They didn’t shy away from the authentic heat of Thai food so everything I got was properly spicy. The Pad Kee Mao had beautifully charred, chewy noodles in a savory sauce which had green peppercorns – something you don’t often see! Laarb gai was tasty and had a good amount of toasted rice but was a tad dry for my taste. Papaya salad was solid but was slightly too sweet. The best thing I got was the spicy beef tendon soup. The tendon was too soft for my liking but the broth was absolutely amazing. It was a perfect amount of spiciness, bursting with flavors from the kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and various other herbs. Refreshingly tangy yet rich, it was an incredible, hearty flavorbomb.

In general, all the food was overly sweet and the meat was dry and tough. The northeast curry was spicy at level 2. But not too bad.
Panang curry with chicken is just boiled white meat slices in sauce. Not even some bell peppers. Meat was so dry. But it tastes fine. Even the chicken satay was dry. The cucumbers salad that came with it was good.
Probably the next things are the butterfly lychee lime juice and the mango sticky rice.

Heard many good things about this Restaurant. So I had to try it for myself. The Restaurant was Open for take out & Delivery. Everything was very clean inside. I ordered through there web site on yelp to save the extra 10%. Every little bit helps during this time.
I went with the Crab Fried Rice (great portion size, & plenty of crab meat), Crying Tiger Beef (was a bit dry but still enjoyable), Garlic Pork Ribs (one of my childhood favorites), Papaya Salad with Fermented Fish & Crab (loved the flavors salty, sweet, sour & spicy), & the Corn Salad (my Absolute favorite. Can’t find this anywhere else in Chicago unless you make it yourself).
The Service was on point. Bee was very nice & brought the food out to my car when it was finished. Will definitely, be back to try more items on the menu!!.
