Blown away by the taste and portions at this little food truck.
Tried the bread pakoda (it’s this Indian yummy snack – 2 slice of bread usually filled with potato and spices stuffing dipped in chickpea batter and deep fried)— and I had a full Ratatouille moment. You know the scene where the critic Ego takes a bite, drops his pen, and is transported back to a happy childhood memory? Yeah. That exact moment.
If you haven’t seen the movie, don’t worry. The long and winding point is: it was DARN tasty.
Chicken tikka wrap — another absolute banger. Juicy, flavorful, and filling enough to properly satisfy your hunger.
And the owner — such a warm, cheerful gentleman. He even made a customized no-spice aloo paratha for my kid, which was again super tasty.
Price: very reasonable for the taste and quantity.
If I’m ever driving through Bakersfield again, I’m 100% stopping here.
And honestly, I wish the owner would relocate to the Bay Area — this place would instantly gain cult status among the sea of mediocre (and often overpriced) Indian joints around here.
The prices are very reasonable: roti is just $1, and the paratha was huge for $6, served with plenty of raita and achar and chai (12 oz) for $3. We also ordered (16 oz) palak paneer and (16 oz) bhindi for $15 each, and both tasted amazing. Paneer was soft and fresh, and the gravy without heavy or overpowering masalas. Bhindi reminded me of my home.
We didn’t have to wait long for the food—it took about 10–15 minutes.
The owners were extremely kind and polite, which made the experience even better. If you’re craving authentic Indian food, this is a must-visit.
It’s currently a food truck, and I truly hope the owners get a bigger place with more seating soon—they absolutely deserve it!
The food was awesome and flavorful. We ordered Palak Paneer, Bhindi Masala, Roti, Mixed Paratha, and Chai — everything was excellent.
Family-owned and very friendly, they were attentive and made sure we were doing well.
Five stars are rare, but this place truly deserves them!
Visited this place to enjoy bread pakora with a cup of tea, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. The bread pakora was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with delicious flavor — exactly how it should be. Pairing it with hot tea made it even better and truly comforting.
The paratha is an absolute must-try. It’s fresh, well-cooked, flaky, and full of taste — honestly one of the best parathas in the city. You can clearly tell that the food is prepared with attention to quality, freshness, and authenticity.
The food quality is excellent, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making it great value for money. The overall experience was satisfying and enjoyable, from the taste to the quality.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious, authentic food at a fair price. Definitely a spot worth visiting again and again — I’ll for sure be coming back!
