There is a gem of a place called Real Southern Cooking.
It has been here a while and I’m kicking myself for not trying them before. The food there is mostly Soul food – and they have various offerings each day, with two sides, cornbread or roll, and rice&gravy. Do NOT forget to get rice and gravy – it is very tasty and they put foil on top so your break and anything fried stays pristine.
Everything I have tried has been tasty! Decent prices! Generous portions! Friendly helpful staff! Give them a try if you get a chance.

Was on rhe way for a burger and saw this small restaurant on the side of the road. Used the drive thru so nothing special to mention on atmosphere. Meatloaf was the Monday special and it was great! Large serving on top of mashed potatoes with two sides and cornbread for $12. I was very happy with the meal.

Absolutely wonderful! Best smothered pork chops. Ever. All the food was fresh cooked, homestyle deliciousness. We had beef tips with rice and gravy, smother pork chops with rice and gravy, black eyed peas, green beans, cabbage, pinto beans, fresh baked corn read, fresh brewed tea, and strawberry bread pudding. Each bite was as good as the next. These ladies take care of each customer, which takes a minute. Also, remember this is FRESH. They may sell out of some items if you don’t get there early. Definitely will return.

I’m not giving it a 5 star because lately the yams have been real mashed up instead of being in chunks. This new texture isn’t the best. I’m not sure if this is the new way or if it’s a different person cooking them but this is not like the candied yams I’ve had in the past.
