The jerk chicken meal was good as well as the curry goat. We got the chicken wings and fries for our daughter. I will never do that again. The chicken had absolutely no season and neither did the fries. The chicken had a smell like it was bad. I don’t think they should have served that chicken to anyone. Yes, I understand that the specialty is Jamaican food, but if you are still going to have chicken on the menu then it needs to be edible. We immediately threw that in the trash when we got home. We have been trying different places, but we definitely want return. I won’t say don’t try it, but I would say don’t ever get the fried chicken that is something they do not know how to cook

I came from out of town and was looking for some good grub for dinner and seen this place on TikTok. I got there within their last hour before closing & it was a bit busy . The girl at the register, Destiny I believe was her name – was so sweet & helpful. Since what I originally wanted was a cook to order item & they were near closing I had her recommend her favorite dish from the menu for me to try and the food was fantastic . Everything was amazing, I can tell this place is busy given the amount of people coming in & out picking up food, but I can see why . I will definitely return if I’m in town again 🙂

I know that I have been traveling in and out of town for a minute, but when did San Antonio get some decent entries into the Caribbean food scene. I thought I had found them all, but today spot definitely got added to the list, earning my “Certified Mad Good” rating. The flavors of the meal pop and the meat was so tender. Service is awesome, and although I had my meal to go, the place had a good vibe with a decent amount of seating. Don’t let the surrounding shops fool you. This place is legit.

I ordered ahead of time by calling and they picked up the phone right away. By the time I arrive, my food was ready and they greeted me with kindness. My food was so delicious, it didn’t stand a chance with me haha. The ambience at the restaurant was real chill too.
I ordered the large oxtails plate with rice and peas, plantains, and a beef patty it came out to $33.02. All get a rating of 5/5. It was worth the drive.

Let’s talk about my family at reading real JamaicA and when I say family, that’s exactly how you’re gonna feel when you get there. First of all, everybody is involved from the front to the backhoe. The owner comes out a lot of times greets me talks to me exactly what options they have what’s still available even if I come there late and how best to help there are a lot of times where you know if I come a certain time, generally leader, and some things that available the owner comes over itself and say listen if you come back tomorrow, give it some I have it prepared most times something I particularly want one good thing that I learned about this location is you’re able to order larger amounts generally for parties or events so please take advantage of that as somebody who grew up in Jamaica for 20 something years. I cannot admit that this is as close to being back home has actually been back home. Great food great customer service outstanding individual individuals food is A1 if this doesn’t win a Michelin star by by the end of 2026 it will be war lol!!

Easiest review ever! Amazingly flavorful food! This is NOT Jamaican inspired. It IS authentic Jamaican cuisine. Polite attentive staff that ensures your experience is a pleasant one. Great atmosphere for family and friends. Clean environment. Portion sizes are more than worth the price. I have found my go to for Jamaican eats!

My go to order is oxtail with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The oxtail is insanely flavorful, the mashed potatoes are always super creamy and the vegetables add the perfect balance of flavor. I definitely recommend trying out their food!

First time trying this place, maybe even Jamaican food all together. Heard of it through my hair stylist and she was right for the recommendation. The service is spot on. They were sweet and actually cared about what you think about the food. Definitely genuine human beings. The food was excellent. I got the oxtail and it was flavorful and juicy. It came with a lot of rice and some vegetables. My mom got the jerk chicken and that was pretty good too. It comes in a to-go container already and when I warmed the oxtail up the next morning, it may have even been even better. Would definitely go back!
