RFD is an amazing plant based restaurant. My server Shane was exceptional. He was attentive and very helpful with explaining popular menu items. I ordered lasagna which I usually cannot have do to my cheese allergy. It did not disappoint… The savory flavor of the tomato sauce and texture of the lasagna noodles was great. They also have great tasting house margaritas. I will definitely return to this RFD in Pasadena!

Very good lunch after long day. The food is awesome and the staff too. They brought me definitely some positiveness to my day. I enjoyed breakfast burrito, my husband got very tasty big bowl of satysfying salad and we also ordered the green protein smoothie. Everything clean, absolutely delicious and nutritious. This is a really good place to go eat. I highly recommend trying the lasagna, the real food burger that tastes like a Mexican torta, and the jack fruit street tacos.
Also, their pastries are ok. I have tried the chocolate fudge cake and chocolate cheese cake. I liked the cheese cake better but my friend preferred the fudge cake.

Updated review 2024 : I decided to give this place another try after so long. I have to say that the atmosphere and customer service are always a delight. I decided to come by for some desserts, but they were not so tasty. The strawberry flavored ice cream had a strong vinegar flavored, and the vanilla ice cream was bland.

We had the grilled cheeses and YUM they were so good and filling that we only had room each for half of our sandwiches and took the rest home. The cornbread was also great and wasn’t too sweet. Not a huge fan of the mashed potatoes, a bit heavy on the garlic and gravy but if that’s your thing go for it!!!

The food tasted amazing. No one in my party was vegan, yet we all loved the food. They have lots of options and a big space, which is a plus. Oh and the oat-milk latte was absolutely perfect.
A couple of things to improve:
1) We tried their chocolate cake and carrot cake, and we didn’t like either of them (excessively sweet and dry.)Their bakery is all gluten free, and I’m guessing vegan, so that’s probably why you’d be better off somewhere else.
2) The service was slow even though there weren’t many people in the restaurant. We are still in a pandemic, though, so I can’t complain.
Overall, very good experience.

Very interesting menu. It was so mixed up that it was hard to make a decision. I went for the waiter’s recommendation: Ramen. It was different. Potatoes and pumpkin. Too bad the potatoes were not fully cooked so they were bitter. There was still a chunk of noodles stuck together. We brought it up to the waiter’s attention. In general Service was good. My friend ordered the Mediterranean salad and enjoyed it. I would not come back but you are welcome to try the other dishes .

Absolutely amazing, super friendly people and clean restaurant. I struggle to find vegan foods that are quality all around, so it’s a shame I don’t live closer, or this would be a go to spot. PLEASE TRY THE NACHOS. The Pico de Gallo was actually tasty and I’m always skeptical of it when it’s not made by me family haha.

We got the mushroom pizza, which was delicious. We thought the Reuben sandwich was a bit of a letdown – there wasn’t much in it and the French fries didn’t even come with any type of sauce/ketchup for takeout. We would try something else from the menu next time. The food delivery on Friday night was pretty quick (under an hour), which we really appreciated.

Okay so Derek needs to open his own RFD in San Diego so I can eat good food with great service more often! This is my very first time at this location however, Derek greeted us like we were in for our 15th time! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, gave drink recommendations all the way down to dessert. He’s clearly a fan of the food himself which was a delight to see.
Not only that, we were out just prancing around celebrating our anniversary and was looking for a good vegan dessert and not only did we get the BEST vegan Chocolate mousse cake, he brought it out with all the bells and whistles. He genuinely gave his sincerest congrats which was so kind. Way to go Derek!! 5 star service!!
(I did over hear he works Wednesday’s, Friday’s & Sunday’s, so definitely visit on one of those days)
