The food here is absolutely amazing!!! I’m a total foodie and love to cook, and whenever we come to Black River, we never even attempt to try a new restaurant because this place is just that good.
I have celiac disease, and they are incredibly accommodating. They do have a gluten-free menu, but what really impressed me was the staff double-checking both the alcohol in my drink *and* the seasoning on my steak. That level of care means so much.
Our favorite choices: the stuffed jalapeños as an appetizer (a must!), and I always get the steak- blackened or regular, it’s so fricken good!!! My husband always orders the Lone Star burger and raves about the jalapeño bun it comes on.
You will not be disappointed if you try this place.

On our way home after a day of traveling. This was fabulous! Wish it were closer , so my things I wanted to try! Great menu, friendly servers, the owner? I was checking with tables. Prime rib sandwich…awesome, wth burger, great, I loved my pub burger, great flavors. Food cooked perfect, prices awesome. You’re doing it right!

One of my favorite places and it could be yours too if you try it! The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. The cleanliness is on point whether its the front doors or the kitchen in the back. The food is always consistent and delicious. The service is fast and friendly. This place has never disappointed me and has the best chicken fajitas and strawberry margaritas I have ever had! Last night I tried the nachos for the first time which were amazing with fresh jalapeños and today I tried the beer cheese soup and I don’t even like soup but OMG-it was absolutely delicious and satisfying! And those ribs though-yummmmmy. Seriously-Repetes in Black River Falls, Wisconsin is your premier place for a great all around experience. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

November 2025: Had a much better dining experience this time around. We got a different waitress that was prompt. She got our drinks and appetizers right away. The beer-battered shrimp was amazing. Updating the food and service to 4 stars from 2.
October 2025: Our waitress was friendly but overwhelmed. It took way too long to get our orders in and get our food. The cheese curds were good, not the best I’ve had, the chicken sandwich was no better than McDonald’s, the frogs legs was good. One of the plates for the cheese curds appetizer was dirty and we couldn’t find the waitress to ask for a replacement.

Been there lots of times. Great food, friendly staff. But sat. The 6th was different. Went out on a limb and ordered a shrimp cocktail. Got the sauce no shrimp. Called back and got the excuse that the server was confused and thought we only wanted the sauce. The baked potato with the other part of the order had no butter or sour cream. Now I thought these were standard items. Shrimp with cocktail sauce and condiments with a baked potato. Good luck. We’ll try again cautiously.

We were only visiting for the warrens cranberry festival but this was my favorite eatery spot of the whole 3 days! The food was delicious!! We all had something different but everyone agreed the food was top notch. The staff was friendly and we saw the manager walking around helping and checking on things. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some delicious food.

We were recommended to this restaurant by several friends. Unfortunately we missed the fish fry but made it for their prime rib, saturday, special. The atmosphere was lovely. Staff was very courteous, but our waitress was very overwhelmed. My husband received his drink from the bar. Several minutes before I received the soda that I had ordered. I got the 22 oz ribeye, which was very fatty, and my husband got the prime rib, special 22 oz and over Half was fat! Very disappointing for the money we paid! I would give it a second chance but really feel they should’ve fixed our food!

What a great experience, Jason and T were welcoming like we had been regulars for years. The food is amazing. Highly recommend this place. A little short trip off the freeway but well worth it. (3 mins off the big road).

Beyond impressed with this unassuming little joint! Came in based on other reviews raving about the Whiskey Cream Burger and had to try it myself. Was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. A complex, savory-sweet plate of amazing American food. We also had the fried pickles and potato skins as appetizers, both of which were prepared well and completely devoured. My partner had the broasted chicken, which they said was also fantastic. Not a single item we ordered was overcooked or under or over seasoned either.
The food alone is worth stopping in, but the atmosphere and service are also stellar. The interior is very relaxing and quaint with gentle lighting, decor that isn’t too busy and a cozy bar with plenty of drink options. Our waitress was very attentive as well, checking in frequently and consistently exuding a friendly energy. The gentleman greeter regularly bussed our empty dishes away as well, never letting our little table get too crowded.
If you’re in Black River Falls and have the time to stop in here, do NOT hesitate. Re-Pete’s is the whole package: great service, cozy, unpretentious ambiance and inventive American food worth raving about.

One of the very best burgers I have ever had. The whiskey cream burger is delicious. They make a pretty good bloody Mary as well. And I recommend paying the $2 up charge for the potato skins instead of the fries, they were really good.
